Close, Super Sentai.  Yes, there is a difference (aside from just one being Japanese and the other English).  For instance, in the majority of the Sentai series, the "powers" are less "powers" and more or less simply high-tech equipment.  Where in Power Rangers a power and costume might be tied to a specific person, most Sentai powers could just as easily be handed over to someone else to use (and not just to replace a departing actor). 

And to keep on topic, once more I'll post Mika Kikuchi's super-mega-ultra-cuteness.
