As the year draws to a close, it is time once again to reflect on the year ending and prepare to move forward.

We've mentioned multiple times that Major Spoilerites are free to offer up their suggestions for what they want to see from Major Spoilers.  Now is the time to toss out your ideas.

In the past, readers have suggested themes for the podcast, increased coverage on certain topics and so on.  One follower on Twitter even suggested a great idea for a future Major Spoilers Store product that will more than likely see the light of day in the next year.

Regardless of what many may think, we do read every email and suggestion sent our way.  We certainly can't approve or initiate every idea, but those that rise above the rest are always taken into consideration.  And because of our busy schedules, it may take longer for certain features to be implemented.

One new feature we do want to get out the door this year is a reward for reaching certain Major Spoilers Achievements...

Thanks for being part of Major Spoilers, and for those of you who have become part of the complete Major Spoilers Experience (website, podcasts, Twitter, Facebook, forums, and so on), we thank you even more.  Here's hoping everyone has a great new year.

Happy upcoming New Year to you and everyone here as well. I look forward to seeing Major Spoilers improve on its already substantial greatness.

If I think of any specific suggestions for improvements I will post them here.

Or you can post on the main site (http://www.majorspoilers.com/major-spoilers-in-2011) or over on Twitter (twitter.com/MajorSpoilers).  There have already been a few good suggestions on Twitter, that I've already responded to.  One of the things that is interesting, is there is a very good chance that we have thought about and/or considered many ideas people will toss out (new merchandise, podcast themes, etc.), but confirmations are always good.

What a great year to be a Spoilerite! The good seemed to outweigh the bad this year and here's to hoping next year is even better! As for improvements, well adding me into the podcast seemed to help the Annihilation one. Tongue As for actual input, I do think movie, music, and video game reviews would be nice. I'll probably think of some other things later and I'll be sure to post them when I do!

Thanks for the site.

My only suggestion (as I mentioned on the main site) is that reviews (especially comic reviews) should include the cover price of the item in question. I've been very sensitive to the price of comics for some time; cover price is an important factor to me.

Easy enough to add.

One suggestion I would like to make is to start doing contests on the forums instead of Twitter.  I don't like Twitter and won't use it so that garuntee's I'll never enter a contest.  I'm not so vain as to ask you to do contests on Facebook to suite myself, so I'm going to ask that the forums be the place (or posting on the main site) so that it keeps on a Majorspoilers.com property and is accessable to everyone.

I don't use Twitter either. Major Spoilers is the only site I follow and I find the Forum and Main Site to provide more for me than Twitter does.

I am not suggesting anyone not use it, of course, only endorsing Blackthunder's suggestion.

We do contests all over... not just Twitter.  In the past year, we've had contests on the site, on the Twitter, on the podcasts, and as mentioned in the most recent show, we have a lot of things to give away this year.  In fact, the first give away of 2011 occurred in the forums...

I am really enjoying the Saturday night podcasts at the moment. While I do like comics a lot, Im unemployed and don't have a pull list, so read what I can, when I can. The weekend casts are just a big ball of fun and I probably find them more engaging because they tend to cover intellectual concepts and general geekery and no small amount of BS.

This year, one that stands out was the conversation you guys had about your favourite season. There was sincerity and giggles galore in that and I suppose it gave me a better insight into who you guys are. Its kind of like watching a show or reading a comic and thinking, I really like how these characters are being developed.  Grin

I would like to see this continuing for 2011 and encourage you guys to really let your hair down.

Well then, can I suggest you start doing contests on your Facebook page too then?

LOOK TO THE SKIES!

The primary villain in my Play-By-Post D&D game uses this same line.

Are you by any chance a godlike ravager of worlds who subjugates all who will submit and destroys the rest?   Tongue

On the podcast, you always mention how you love people calling in.

I suggest having more contests like the "Sound Like Yoda" contest, so that more people will call in.

Or even a scavenger hunt . . . through the internet!

Plus I really enjoyed your Best of 2010 podcast, it was one of my favorite podcasts of the last year. The format was excellent. How about top 5 comic book characters for all you? And worst. Or top 5 comic book series. And worst. Podcasts dedicated specifically to those subjects would be very entertaining.
