Having caught up with the current run of the Avengers and enjoying the new cartoon on Disney XD it has made me realize how many great characters Marvel has that never get enough time in the spot-light.

There are entire swaths of the X-men who are interesting characters who don't get nearly the same attention as Wolverine (who I'm still trying to figure out how he is so many places at once).

The Avengers always have one or two members that are just kind of there.

And then there are Characters like Shang-Chi who just never seem to be seen except once as a cameo.

And I have a theory that we've all found a couple characters that we latch onto and love despite how much they are ignored.  And you can use any standards you like, from not having their own title, to just not being written the way they deserve.

Pete Wisdom, he was featured in his own mini a couple years ago and was in MI:13 but he hasn't done a whole lot since then.

I don't know why Pixie has become the next generation of Magik when Illyana is much more interesting. But you've heard me my Illyana support-speeches about 10,000 times.

Whatever happened to Aurora, from Alpha Flight?

Thirded!!!
Maggot, Cecilia Reyes, and the punk version of Marrow where there to greet me with open arms when I really embraced X-Men. We can have Fantomex who is a lot like Maggot, but with a spy twinge to him, I want more Maggot, and maybe I'll read some more X-Men.

I didn't much care for Maggott.  The concept was fairly interesting, but the character bugged the heck out of me.

I would like to see more Shang-Chi other than just an occasional pop-up as a guest starring role.

I was going to suggest Forbush Man, but I looked him up and he's apparently dead now.  Shame.

Haha! You know, with the bugs, and them being his way of eating, and all, funny joke. Unless he really bugged you, then I'm sorry.

Of course I want more from Shang Chi than guest starring in Secret Avengers.

I thought about adding "pun partially intended" but then it might have ruined it just a bit.

Things about the character really did bother me, though, but it wasn't about the powers and oddities, more the personality and how the character was written mostly.  The concept was interesting, but the execution of the character himself was just a little bleh for my tastes.

Anybody know whatever happened to the characters from DC's late 90s series 'Young Heroes in Love'?  They were kinda awesome.

I think it's in DC's Limbo where the Inferior Five somehow escaped from.

Long ago, buried somewhere among the many threads, I had some posts (maybe started the thread) about how odd it is that there are so many super-powered characters that have existed in the Marvel or DC universe that are never seen now. Where did all of those people go?

It would seem by now you couldn't walk down a New York street in the Marvel Universe without passing someone with a former costumed identity at every other person.
