I had a bit of a movie marathon this week, I watched

Black Dynamite - Hilarious parody of Blaxplotation films, it gets to be a bit much towards the end but it's easily the best spoof made since probably the original Scary Movie.

As long as it's better than Undercover Brother. I winced through every second of that film and turned it off about half-way through.

Quote
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - Another great film, not for everyone as it's deadpan style of humor might not be everyones style but it is a truly fantastic blend of comedy and drama, just like life.

I really liked this movie. Didn't expect to, but I really did. I run hot and cold on Wes Anderson movies. They all seem to use the same conventions and even his most original concepts wind up feeling unoriginal. But Life Aquatic and Royal Tenenbaums are real gems.

I know there's a thread somewhere but I just watched Inception and

I thought it had some great concepts but fell sort of flat in some areas. I think the balance between the science and the fiction was a little too leaned to the science side.

I have not seen it. What do you like about the show?

It's super true to the original storys and yet set in present time.
The pacing is like a welldances foxtrot - Quick, quick, sloooooooow. Quick, quick, slooooooooow.
Martin Freeman! OMG. I want to buy this man a car. (But i properly need a new car more than him so...)
Its the classic BBC format. Meaning 90 minutes, and not as many shows at regular US series.

I my humple opinion the best show in 2010. Better than Walking Dead, Mad Men, Lost ect, ect.

I agree with all of the above, except I cannot endorse it as best in show 2010, I dont own a TV and have not watched enough this year to pass judgement. But I did bloody love this show. Good work BBC!
