Singer Jani Lane of Warrant has been announced today as having passed away.

Warrant was my ex-wife's favorite band from the 80's. As a fan of hair metal myself, I am sad to hear the news.

Also, Rodrigo (or some fine Admin): My brain doesn't understand this thing you call language. I see now I have posted this in the Movies thread, not the Music thread.

Would you please move the thread for me? Thanks.  Smiley

I'll Remember Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

I think that was Skid Row...

I was never a Warrrant fan, but have a very distinct memory of the song 'I Saw Red'.  There was this girl I had a massive crush on, and she drove us to this party out in the country.  She was playing the Cherry Pie cassette, and for some reason I distinctly remember 'I Saw Red' playing during the ride.  We go to this party in some cruddy trailer house out in the sticks and she disappears, and of course I find out she was in a back bedroom banging some dude.  I proceeded to get really drunk and find another ride home.
I have hated that song to this day, and that night certainly ended the crush I had the girl...

It was, but it was the only one I could think of to fit.

I have a similar memory, just to a different song and the circumstances were just a little different.

And I was surprised to see this, I didn't see it anywhere else and my friend (a fan of Warrant) hadn't heard this yet either.

I try to do my part to keep the world informed. Sorry it is sad information.

My ex-wife is pretty sad about it. I remember this pillow she used to keep on our bed, made from a Warrant concert shirt.

To think, twenty five years from now today's young artists will be around the age of Jani, perhaps the younger generation of that day will barely remember them, and you and I will still be here to mourn them but remember the good times.

I should buy more Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez cds while I can...and while cds still exist.
