Recomend me a Book.

Most of you probably know of my obssesion with film but less of you may know I have an obssesion for books as well. And so to widen my reading habits I'm giving control over to you.

Post a Recomendation for a book below I may read it.

Forget the movie, pick up "The Count of Monte Cristo"  Learn how to F up your enemies in style.
Biography of John Adams.
The Bible- lot of action of all sorts in there.

Legend by David Gemmell

Its my favorite book. I always take a copy of it when ever I travel.

Glory Road by Robert Heinline

Its a great read.

The Death Gate Cycle heptalogy by by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman is a good read. The first one that comes to mind if you want a deep and intricate world with exciting action.
The Artemis Fowl series is also exciting. Young genius blackmails world of magic.
The Young Wizards sounds like a children's series but hits on hard issues. They save the world from atrophy...or something like that. Mild religious undertones.
The Young olympians is a great read as well.
The Ravirn series by Kelly McCullough mixes myth, magic, and technology.

The only books I've ever read and enjoyed are:

Harry Potter (any)
Where the Red Fern Growns
Batman: Knightfall by Dennis O'Neil


Most author's don't capture my attention.

I can agree with the Harry potter and Knightfall, but Where the Red Fern grows was not a book I enjoyed.
Milage may vary, fishcakes, etc... glad you did enjoy.

Well, judging by the vlogbrothers reference (DFTBA), you may want to pick up any of the lovely books by John Green!

I'm a little more than half-way through Monster, by F. Lee Martinez and it's pretty good. Really fast read. It's like Jonathan Lethem meets Christopher Buckley.

Speaking of which, if you've never read Top Dog by Jerry Jay Carrol, or the sequel, Dog Eat Dog they're pretty fun reads. Same kind of vibe.

Course, you could just read Christopher Buckley.

I am in the process of buying Paper Towns at the moment and if I like it ,I may pick up other John Green books. However I have all the HP books. Shadow pulps?

I think I'll try The Hunger Games and Paper Towns. And I'll look into The Ravirn series.

The Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged.

I hate the author and both stories with a fiery passion, but they are great to get you thinking.  Even if you disagree with everything in the book you will feel like you came out ahead for it.

I kind of enjoyed the first few novels of the Incarnations of Immortality series.

Ender's Game is excellent for about five books or so.

I always loved the Wild Cards novels, even if they tend to bog down every four books in the cycle.

I also have no idea what DFTBA means...

The works of Kurt Vonnegut, especially Sirens of Titan, Slaughter-house Five, andd Galapagos.
