On that note

Rumors explode that The Thing will be completely CG.

Not sure how I feel about it. I guess it worked for Hulk.

Thing has so much more emotional range though. In fact, his human qualities is what makes him interesting. I prefer an actor for that, instead of some Golem/Navi whatever.

Long trailer.

Looks awesome!!

I think they should get a different Bruce Banner for every movie he is in. Like a running gag.

Loki? I hope so.

The team banter seemed fun. I hope it does.

Ironman flying still just looks cool!

Everyone looking and shooting UP in some of the scenes mean anything? We get aliens or something?

This may make a few bucks too Smiley

Yeah, I saw the trailer today. Nice!

I don't like the look of Banner at all but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until I see the movie. For some reason Scarlett doesn't work too well for me but, (shrugs).

Super-excited about the whole thing!

Loki is clearly the main villain, as we'd expect from the comic history as well as the movies. In Thor we had the end-scene with the Cosmic Cube.

It would be likely this is part of the evil-villain plot, yes? I wonder what's up?

I'm hoping for some more villains and not just Loki.

It depends on which villains and how it's laid out. Some movies have given us too many characters (eg, Spider-Man 3 and X-Men 3) and it was a mess.

But I would rather see some villain besides just Loki and, say, mechanized/cosmic swarm-somethings. Of course, all the villains from the individual movies are still alive, so there's that.

Thanks to the DVD, I've finally seen Captain America and am "caught up" for the most part with the current Marvel Avengers Movie-verse movies.

I've been excited for Avengers ever since I first heard it will be happening, and I've been following all the info I can find (including all the pics and info often posted on the Major Spoilers main page) but seeing the snips of scenes at the very end of Captain America has got me as giddy as a kid on Christmas.  I just hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment.

Josh has never written anything bad after the Buffy movie. He's only been hampered by the studios.

TY for making my point for me Smiley

I have nothing but the utmost confidence in what Mr. Whedon brings to any project he is on. But he's not the only person working on this project.

Yes. Those people need to do what Joss tells them.  Grin

Josh Whedon = Guaranteed Win

There's a lot of people working on the movie that make me feel it's going to be epic (the actors, Whedon, the effects and costume people, etc), and so far the track record has been pretty impressive from how I'm seeing it.  They've done a great job of creating a movie Marvel universe to play with.

I'm still holding back excitement, though.  Just on that slight chance that something causes it to go horribly wrong, I don't want to feel the urge to destroy the universe if I'm disappointed.

This is my take on things. I could really allow myself, after seeing all of the tie-in movies, to get so excited that the movie couldn't possibly be as good as I've built it up to be.
