You finish your breakfasts. Now well-rested, clean, and full, the rest of the day awaits you.

With some parting words to Samm and Abby, and a quick smooch for Bedlor from Heather, you make your way from the Oak Haven toward the library. The booths are still open, vendors hoping for one last good day of sales for themselves. But the booths are largely bare now, a great deal of revenue having come into the city because of the Festival of Light.

People wave and greet you in the streets. Their Champion, along with the rest of you who have brought so much sport, walk among them as minor celebrities.

Listening to the stories being told, you find your deeds have already been blown beyond the scope of reality. Apparently T'Ning wrested the war-maul of Sir Victor Storme from the Knight single-handedly while Faerun took out an entire field of competitors by himself. Bedlor defeated a half-orc barbarian with only two mighty hits of his twin axes and Liv can see invisible Arcane, who she nearly sliced in two with her sword.

The city church is sealed, two Bragendols standing guard out front. They look at you with a stern gaze, dissuading you from approaching the church.

You come to the library to find the door wide open. Sunlight illuminates the main room for the first time.

Inside you see Landru and Donovan speaking to each other. They are discussing a new arrangement for the shelves in the library and an area to add desks.

Rachel is standing quietly by the doorway, looking outside. She sees you all  but no smile greets you today. Instead, she only nods and then drops her head as she looks back into the room.

I sidle up to Rachel and whisper conspiratorially "Wanna go steal a magic sword?"

"... well, talk to it at least, and see if it would like to be stolen..."

Rachel sighs heavily, blowing her ever-present wisp of red hair from her eyes.

"Och, may as well. They be takin' one 'ouse from me straight away. May as well be 'avin' a crack at another."

"Ye wouldna 'ave an extra bed in that room o' yuirs, would ye?"

"Donnie said we could live with 'is dad. Guess it be better than a room full o' books, aye? But I'd settle fir wakin' up ev'ry day knowin' where I live."

"Which way ye 'eading out o' West Wellington? Need a girl who knows her way around a some rope and a lock?"
, she laughs. ... You detect little jest in her voice.

As I walk by Rachel I give her the two peaches I picked up along the way. "Here, Rachel. These looked really good this morning so I picked you up a couple."

"Aye, well, that be the way o' it, idn't it? Makin' yuir way through and knowin' at any minute ever'yt'ing ye built could come fallin' down. Bet that's what those folks in Dalophor thought that day too."

"Anyway. Aye, I'm game fir a looksee in that manor, sure."

Rachel takes the peach with a renewed smile.

"Maybe 'ome be anywhere a friend can offer ye a fresh peach, aye? Thank ye, Liv."

She bites into it hungrily, the juice dribbling down her chin.

"MMmm. That's a good one."

"So what be the plan?"
