Did anyone read the last chapter (13) of the 2nd coming event?  Did it look like to anyone else that Hope might be more like Mimic than Jean Grey?  It seemed like Hope had multiple power including, eye beams, super strength (maybe metal plated), personal shield (like the Young X-man Armor).

I think this would be great if she had some sort of combo of powers.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have really liked this event.  I thought it has been well written and so far the ending has been pretty good.  Of course we will have to wait for Chapter 14 to know for sure.

I wondered the very same thing.

Not sure how that power specifically made her as badass as Bastion made her out to be from his sensors. I'm was also unsure if Hope actually brought down the bubble of Pepto Bismol or if Bastion being out of the way made it so. If it was the former and Hope did what Thor's constant beating couldn't she is a bad ass times infinity.

But yup, we gotta wait for the last chapter.

What did you think of the event overall? I thought it was really good and a fun read.

I think it was good, overall. Enough edge-of-the-seat for a good read.

Does that mean Second Coming: Revolutions will follow?

Did anyone else read Hellbound? Tie-in with the New Mutants?

Well Gambit was along for their ride to Limbo and the seeds the X-books keep sowing that seems to be leaning to growing the Apocalypse tree are just so blatant I can't help but get excited.

That tree will surely bring Cable back at some point; and maybe Bishop (hopefully he'll be growing his  hair long while he's away);

How bought Cyclops bashing on Rogue and Iceman's asking about the Avengers hiring? Smiley  Is it just teasing the Avengers new member or is it something more or just nothing?

I'm stoked for The Five Lights arc upcoming in Uncanny.

I haven't read the last book of Hellbound yet, but I picked it up today so I will probably have it read tonight.  I have really enjoyed 2nd Coming.  And when Chapter 14 comes out at the end of the month I am going to pull out all the other chapters and read it all at once.  I don't do that very often, but I have had a hard time waiting for the next book even though it has only been a week at some points.

I am interested to see where the New Mutants go since that book is ending soon.  But, with New Mutants ending I think that will give me a chance to pick up the new X-Force book.  Grin

I'm already holding chapter 14 (X-Men Second Coming #2) in my grubby little hands.

Just FYI in case you may have overlooked it.

New Mutants is ending??   Huh

AFAIK yes. Sorry.

The next (last) arc is called Fall of the New Mutants.

They were my favorite Marvel team since their inception. That is terrible news.

You know my next question...don't you?

What will they do with...you know...her??

Illyana Rasputin? Oh she's dead dude Wink

IDK. I'm sure she'll be showing up somewhere at some point.

I did read something about the teams getting revamped...I mean Beast is gone; Rogue has been kicked off; Iceman is my choice for joining the Avengers; X-Force is changing around a bit (I'd like to see Daken and (Death) Gambit on that team plz)

But IDK dude. Maybe she'll show up somewhere.

I want to see where Kitty winds up

I continue to assert, as I always have, that Kitty, Colossus, and Magik should be on the same team. The built-in dynamic lends itself to many stories and much character development.

Is Colossus still mainly in Astonishing X-Men? If so, maybe Kitty and Illyana could fit there since Beast is off with the Avengers a lot and Wolverine is everywhere anyway.

Ok, I don't know how I missed that in my pull list.  Now, that my internet access is limited at work, I am just not as on top of this stuff as I should be.  I will be making an additional stop at my LCS tomorrow to pick up Chapter 14!

Navarre don't worry Magik isn't going anywhere.  They are finally letting the New Mutants grow up.  So, the ones that are still alive, will be joining a new team.  Personally, as long as they aren't on a team with Cannonball, I am good.  I really don't like that guy.

I've never liked Cannonball either. Though Appalachian, like myself, I never thought he grew into a very interesting character.

I have, many times, stated that the New Mutants have more than proven themselves. They are far from "new" and deserve to be on a main team.

Illyana's teleportation and magic would be an incredible asset. And now that Dani has her Valkyrie thing going again, she's a definite heavy-hitter.
