1st Level Skill Points (2+1)x4=12
+14 levels (2+1)x14=42

I'm open to suggestion on skills...

Quote from: Half-Orc Fighter Level 15 Hit Point total: rolled 14d10: 63
Reference: Half-Orc Fighter Level 15 Hit Point total
 You rolled 14d10: 63 | [ 4,1,1,1,8,7,2,1,4,2,10,6,9,7 ] 63

27+63 for a total of 90 HP...is that low? Undecided

Looking at my saves and attacks...

+12 Fort (+9,+3 Con mod), +6 Ref (+5,+1 Dex mod), +5 Will (no Wis mod)

+15/+10/+5

Now just gotta go through skills and feats

Well you have doubled my hitpoints so I don't think so.

I would say tailor it to how you feel your character would act like.

You would need the Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat for your spiked chain, yes.

I agree with Strifeter on Skills. Visualize your character and place your ranks accordingly.

If there is a particular skill that is cross-class for Fighter but you really think suits your character, let me know. If you can give me half a reason why it would be a class skill for him I'll let you have it as that.

Who says Fighters can't be good at Appraise and Diplomacy? heh

HP: We are level 15, so it would be level * HD + (lvl x Con bonus) = HP, not taking into account any raises to Con you get while leveling. If you do that it would be level you gain the extra Con bonus - 15, for the extra HP you would need.

Feats: Its almost easier to pick Feats at later levels, IMHO, because you know exactly where you want to take the character in a single moment, instead of over 15 levels of moments. I believe you wanted to be a Spiked Chain specialist which requires the Exotic Weapon Feat, unless you want to take a -4 penalty on using the weapon (and who wants to do that? Wink). Spike Chains can be used with Weapon Finesse Feat, as was stated, so you can use your Dex score instead of your Str score for attacks, but, being a two-handed weapon, damage bonus for Str is at 1.5 times Str instead of only 1 times Str. Just something to think about when you apply Abil, scores. Other Feats I'd take would be Improved Trip and Improved Disarm, both would work well especially with the reach of the chain. You also may want to consider getting Quick Draw, if you fail an attempt at Trip and drop the chain to avoid being tripped yourself you can grab another without missing a beat, and Improved Initiative, a great perk since you get a chance to Trip or Disarm before anyone else, leading to uberness all around. All the Weapon Focus tree of Feats is a great choice, as well, said before. I *heart* Cleave Smiley Do not overlook the Two-Weapon Fighting group of Feats, either. The extra attacks may not mean as much to a Fighter who is hitting so hard anyhow, but the Two-Weapon Defense Feat may be enough for you to give them a look. If you are into Followers and such and like the Leadership Feat, its a good time to introduce any groups your character may have with him.

Skills: Its all about how your character's traits fall, as Strif alluded to.  I think you've got to have some sort of bearing on the character's backstory if you want to keep skills along those lines, but, if it was me, I'd just grab whatever I thought looked nice, and fill up as few things as I could. I'd rather be good at a few things than mediocre at a bunch, but, again, that's just me.

Prestige Classes: Exotic Weapon Master http://ronnmccarrick.com/rpg/baenrahl/pdfs/DnD3.5Index-Classes-Prestige.pdf Page 15

Gets some really cool "tricks" with the Exotic Weapon, such as Extra Damage, better Trip, or even throwing the damned thing Wink You only get three levels and three "tricks" but its a valid path with what you have so far.

Eothr, you might find this convenient - it's a google document character sheet that updates a bunch of the calculations automatically, like calculating your skill points from your ranks + abilities, and calculating your HP from the hit dice you roll and your Con mod.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtYEO59WsWGqdDlTNGF0NDRaOGd5czV2RERsYUxONUE

I suggest saving a copy of it and then filling your character in.

Yes, Eothr, please use this sheet. It gives me access to reviewing your character sheet as needed, as long as you include me for viewing.

Thanks, sab.

Sorry for the delay, suffered comp issues this week; will work on the character sheet soon, but I decided that I wanted Appraise, Craft (Blacksmithing), & Craft (Armorsmithing) (possibly Profession if there are any spare points); I like the idea of being an exceptional smith-good enough that a dead dragon means dragonfang swords and dragonscale armors.

As far as the feats, emphasis on the weapon-focused feats, such as Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization. I'm thinking of taking 1 level of that Prestige Class, Gaumer, but I'm not %100 sold. Again, sorry for the delay, I'll try to get on again this weekend, no guaruntees though Sad

My irl PC is now +31/+26/+21 to hit, does 1d10+16 damage per strike, and can use Whirlwind Attack as a standard action.  Smiley

Also, Eothr, are you still out there??

I'm back, now. Sorry for the extreme delay, but between Mass Effect 3's ending and school I wound up suffering from therapy-grade depression Sad -- and I DIDN'T get any therapy...

So now I'm free, and I've got a new mobile with Internet. I'll update soon, swears.
