Straight and sure, your bullet launches from your sling. It impacts very close to center mass, rebounding back some distance toward you.

"A hit! Success! T'Ning advances!"

The crowd cheers for you with great enthusiasm. A strange oddity to them at first, you are proving yourself to be a capable warrior in this event.

Jackson replies to Liv as his hands grip the wire of the staging area fence.

"I don't know, miss. I've already lost once in firm defeat while you've shown you have the warrior's heart. I don't want to spend my life in the stables, or even at the forge."

"I'm done in the Tourney. My one chance and I ruined it."

"I want to do something great. I want to help people and protect them."

"I want someone to really notice me."

His last statement comes as he looks across the crowd, seeking the skinny girl with the curly red hair and bright green eyes.

I walk back to Jackson.
"You know....Rachel screamed loudest for you. I'd say she noticed you."

"Do you think so, sir gnome?"

(sigh) "I hope so. I can prove what I've got if I have the chance...again."

"Once more, friends, Donovan Jett!"

Donovan steps quickly and quietly to the line. He reaches for a dagger on his bandolier but, for whatever reason, decides to go for one on his belt instead.

"Success! My friends, we are moving to forty feet!"

"Jackson...perhaps if we ask nicely, they will let us sign up for the Brawl as late entries. I am no fighter, but I am willing to give it a try if you are. We don't have to win...just put up a good fight and a good show for Rachael."
{Who would we go to ask about joining?}

Jackson perks up.

"I'll do it if they'll let me! I've been in a scrap or two, when the other boys would pick on me."

"Even the street kids would make fun of me, being knee-deep in horse manure all day. But Rachel never did. She always took up for me. Girl has a mighty wicked punch herself, if I do say."

"If that Elder Sister over there would ask Elder Brother Montford, I bet he'd let us!"

Another vicious blow to the target catches it hard in the center. The crowd cheers long for you, relishing your consistent efforts.

"Success! Very good, Mister Enghart!"

"Next to the line: T'Ning!"

"Lets go! Liv do you want to join in on the fun?"

We head to the Elder Sister.

"Could we perhaps sign in as late entries into the Brawl? Young Jackson here is a little distraught over his loss earlier and perhaps we thought a second chance to compete would be just the thing that would cheer him up. I even will compete with him, even though I am not much of a fighter."
