"A little more bad news. Umbridge seems to be in the Brawl as well...and he helped pay for our entry. Vinrogg helped too, but I am more worried about the wide man than the strong man. Umbridge seems to have it out for us."

"Congrats to you, T'Ning. Since monks don't like money any that you wish to give away I will gladly keep.

I look at T'Ning, then snicker, hit him softly on the shoulder and say, "Just kidding! I'll gladly let you pay for some yummies later though."

"What do you mean he helped pay? I can't help you if you come up against Umbridge, much as I might like to toss another shuriken his way. And I suspect that Vinrogg could best me, by dint of sheer strength and weight. But I've no fear of Umbridge, for myself. He may, I suppose, beat me. But he won't humiliate me. Only himself."

"If you come up against him... I suggest you dodge. You're smaller than him and I bet faster. You may goad him into such a rage as to throw him off his game."

"Liv, thanks for the kind offer to let me pay for food, but our meals are ackshully on the house, if you remember. I'll treat you to one of those yummy turnip treats they're selling at the stands around the stadium, though!"

"Oh, that's okay Thing. I think I will pass on the turnip."

I smile at Liv. "Sorry, couldn't resist!"

"Sure thing, Thing"

No part of the challengers has been wounded quite so badly this day as their name. But the mix of mirth and mayhem has added life to a great competition.

As Liv makes her return to the staging area as asked, the rest of you look to the western wall. In moments the next event will begin. You smell the chance for coin and glory, allowing yourselves a smile as you forget the troubles of the outside world for a while.
