"Before your parting I shall give you each your five Crowns for the day plus enough extra to pay for your rooms for the next three days, until the funeral is done."

"Perhaps by then I will have been able to decide what to do for my family, as sooner or later we must surely leave. And each morning when you return for breakfast, I shall pay you for the day to come."

"Is that fair to your sensibilities, sir?"

"And, if you wish to convert your Crowns to some other denomination, you may of course utilize the bank. When you take the money to Mr. Arcadie, he shall open an account for each of you. You may secure your wealth there for as long as you like."

"...I have an idea. What if a few people in town were hired to dress up as you. Stay with me for a moment. In fast paced times like a festival, it is easy to start a trend. A few people dressed up as you in honor of what you have done for this town, could convince others to do so..."

"In short, one may only see the homes true appearance and interact with it accordingly if they have been invited inside by one, who themselves, now has permission to enter. This again raises the concern presented that these mercenaries can carry word of my location to Hyde and bring others in should they get by you."

"All others will never be able to experience anything other than the dilapidated old manse you first saw, no matter how much they interact with it. ... Yet, perhaps that is failing, as at least one of you saw otherwise..."

"I know Hyde. He will come for more than just me. He will strike where it wounds me most: at my family. A ruse of disguise would do me no good, though you are creative, I can tell."

"And I do hope I have answered each question you have asked of me, T'Ning. I have made no attempt to evade you."

"I will be glad to answer all of your questions. But I have offered you my Crowns for nothing more than keeping an open ear today and watching my house tonight. Would you rather speak more of it over breakfast tomorrow?"
