I got fet up with buying duplicate books, so I went searching for software to catalog my books.
I came across LibraryThing
http://www.librarything.com/It works great. I started putting books in before I realized I have over 200 books. To solve that, I purchased the lifetime membership for $19 dollars and the barcode scanner for $15 dollars....since there is not way I am manually entering my ISBNs one by one.
It will pay off in the long run....espcially since I have been known to get multiple copies of a book by accident.
For example, I have 4 copies of Sword of Shanarra. Not sure why, but I do. I also have 2 of each Harry Potter book, mainly because they were gifts.
