I just got home from work and I wanted to relax on my PS£, but instead of connecting to the PSN it flashed up an error.  it is an 8001050F error and I searched it on Google and all pre-slimeline PS3 are effected by the error.  It stops all online game play and any offline game that uses trophy. 

It apparently happend at midnight 28/02/2010 and instead of becoming 01/03/2010 it became 01/01/2000.  I was thinking of just resetting the date back to normal but all the sites tell you not to use your PS3 until further notice.

Damn I was looking forward to some MW2 and Resistance 2.

Yeah, you NEVER have to worry any hardware failure on the Xbox!  Roll Eyes(J/k)

It's actually been fixed. No patch required, just fixed like magic. Honestly, I wasn't all that concerned by it. If I can't live without PSN for one night, then I am the lowest form of 1st world citizen.
