Hi, Strifeter. Thanks. I will give my girlfriend your condolences (and let her know "Strifeter" isn't your real name lol). I also owe her a hug from sab over the matter as well.
This has been a long day. I was up before 5 am and drove for 3 hours one way to take my girlfriend to her grandmother's funeral.
I hadn't met her dad yet. So I go to meet him but under less than the best circumstances. It was all pleasant enough though.
I sat in the funeral home for over 4 hours while friends and family came by. Then they had the service.
Her grandmother was 94 so most of her friends had already passed away. It also left them without enough people to be pall bearers.
Since the funeral home was missing some assistants due to Memorial Day, I volunteered to be a pall bearer. So, in 95 degree weather, wearing a full suit and tie, I carried the casket of a woman I'd never met for a family I'd also never met.
If this doesn't get me in the good graces of my girlfriend's father, nothing will!
Now, after a 3 hour trip alone, I am home. I'll try to get something going on the game.
