Erika is only mostly dead. To Blave can save her.

Holy crap, I landed a blow! With an AC like 32, though, she probably has saving throws greater than +20 and can only fail the save on a nat 1...

Ooh, I had made a mistake on my sheet! The Fort save required is 22 not 21; it's character level not Monk level. For some reason I always think of SF as a monk class feature rather than a feat that anyone could get but is more common for monks because it's among their bonus feats.

The rules generally state that you can see if each roll connects before choosing what to do with the rest, right? I was so sure that this would have no effect that I applied all the rolls to her. Would it be possible to apply the roll after the one that connected, to kick her bow away instead after she dropped it? Then of course the Nat 1 which leaves me falling prone in the mud...

Yes, you can definitely do that.

Getting ready to work out and make dinner. This will give sab and Strifeter time to hang out while Gaumer and Liv get those new PCs ready.  Wink

Later.

By the way just picked up Fairest (Fables). It was awesome.

An example of the awesome.

I am a little confused about the rules with the dynamic initiative. It looks like I am not going to get an option to do anything else while she remains stunned, right? And she gets to act before me even though she was stunned for a round?

Which sucks, because I have a plan if only I could actually make an action with her still stunned.

Curse you dynamic initiative!

She is stunned for 1 round. She was stunned on initiative count 22 last round so she's stunned until then this round.

If her initiative comes after that this round she acts on her count. If it comes before the 22 then she's delayed and still stunned until the 22 marker hits.

The stunning doesn't give you a free round to act per se, just one round where she can't.

Right... although it would mean that if we were using static init.

In this case, since I had good initiative last round and sucky initiative this round, I am screwed.

Yes, it becomes...dynamic.

There is a random element involved with the dice roll for initiative each round. Sometimes that may work for you and sometimes against you.

It is that unknown element that makes each round a bit unpredictable and, hopefully, therefore entertaining. Sorry it didn't work for you this round.

But I also didn't impose any consequence against you for your critical miss, so at least there's that. I know; small consolation.
