I hope that works. This was Bed's ultimate goal from the very beginning: A world with no interfering, manipulating and self-centered all-powerful beings using mortals as pawns for their own sick and twisted reasons. Bedlor has eliminated religion from the face of the entire multiverse (something I have been trying to do in RL for quite sometime Smiley ) and I couldn't be happier with the result (if it all works out Wink)

This was really something else, Nav. You made it so my character was the Deus ex Machina of your story, and you did so without forcing a single thing. Pretty f^&king brilliant.

Well, thanks. But all I did was create a scenario that allowed for whatever choice your characters thought best.

Even if Tren and Bedlor didn't agree on how those choices should proceed, it is the progression and sum of those choices that defined their lives. That felt pretty realistic to me as well and I too am very happy with how things have gone.

We still need to take some time in-game to wrap things up but it looks like the Shadow War (in-game and, soon, irl) is finally at an end.

And, technically, Bedlor has died. In a way...very Harry Potter-esque Smiley

I'm going to give both of you time to level up. But honestly I don't expect there to be anything to require dice rolls. I'm glad you made it to Level 20 though.

I will write an epilogue as soon as I can and get that posted. That will wrap things up.

It will probably involve some RP instead of just a single post but I want to keep things brief, like an epilogue should be. Mainly it will allow each character their moment to move forward beyond the game on the path they choose.

The epilogue almost certainly won't start today. Maybe I'll get to it tomorrow morning.

That first epilogue post is just awesome. I honestly got a little choked up with nostalgia  Cry

I have family in from PA for the weekend, but I will get to a reply as soon as I can.

Take your time, buddy. I'll be busy this weekend as well and my work weeks have been crazy lately.

Did you catch that much of that epilogue is actually a repost and revision of the first post and the Oak Haven description from the very first chapter of the Shadow War campaign?

I'm holding on my posting in Epilogue until Bedlor and Tren get in on things. Waiting to hear from you guys.

May be.  Smiley

Though Aerik stayed to rule his people (which are still more loyal to you than any other member of the party), you have Serena, Kofi, and Aphra in your "Pack" now (as Aphra calls it).

I am sorry if you had hoped for a happy clean ending where all the party members got along but I think this is a natural breaking point for Tren from those who see things differently. Smiley

My only hope ever in my games is that the players enjoy themselves.

I absolutely expected Tren to take off, rather bitter over the whole thing, after what happened. This is especially true after Bedlor overpowered you to remove an artifact from your possession.

You are doing exactly what I think Tren would do. Aphra and Serena agree with you. You three have seen more of Hell than anyone else could know.
