I woke up from the strangest dream this morning.

From what I remember I was riding my adult trike through town after going to purchase groceries. I was immersed in my surprise that is wasn't stolen while I was in the store since I have yet to get a bike lock. I surprisingly found myself in a town nearly 30 miles away. I pulled my trike to the side of the road and was having a WTF moment. Behind me I heard a female voice say "You are Josh aren't you?"
I turned around and saw a UPS truck.
"I have your package here, please sign."
As I was walking towards the truck the scene dramatically changed.
I found myself waking up in my bedroom. As I exited the room, things were drastically wrong. For one thing, my house doesn't have a circular stairwell, second, I so not have dark hardwood floors, and third there were like 30 cars out the window.
As I walked down the stairs to check for my UPS package. I looked out the window and saw the house number was 2356 (which I can't figure out where that came from. I think the 23 came from my age not sure about the 56). I heard a voice. A strange man leaned over the couch (which was in the wrong room) and said
"A UPS truck arrived with this package for you." He throws it towards my direction. As I leaped to grab it, the scene changed again.
I found myself waking up in my room again.
I left my room and I was in the correct house. I walked downstairs and opened the door to find my UPS package.
I ran upstairs.  I ripped open the package and inside were the following:
A dissassembled PSP
A small Phillips screwdrive
A new PSP battery
A Note saying "Sorry we could not fix your PSP. You do it. Signed, Sony"

I then woke up for real.
----
Explanation of my dream
I have been meaning to get a bike lock for my adult Schwinn Meridan trike.
My birthday is today and I am 23.
I recently had a sleepover of international high school students.
I am expecting my PSP today.
I am worried that sony didn't fix it.

I almost never remember my dreams. Maybe it's because my imagination is already pretty crazy...

But none of that matters. What matters is :

When I was maybe 10 years old or so I dreamed that I was in WWII helping Captain America gain intelligence on Adolph Hitler. I was disguised as a bellhop at the hotel where Hitler was staying.

I was in the room, attempting to gain information, when Hitler discovered my ruse. He pulled his Luger and shot me in the chest. I died instantly, waking up violently as I did so.

Interpretation of this dream: Pretty easy. The Red Skull we all know and hate was recruited by Hitler while working as a bellhop. I'm sure I just parlayed that into a dream about myself trying to help my childhood hero.

The fact that I failed so miserably and died perhaps means something as well?  Undecided

You might also be a geek if you parlay yourself into dreams to help comic book heroes Cheesy.

Ha! Fair enough.   Grin

You'd think at least I'd be a capable hero in my own dream...but I guess Cap chose poorly this time. His sidekicks are always dying anyway.

But I'll return in a later dream and take over the shield after Bucky gets shot by the Black Widow and shunted out of time.

Either that or you shouldn't read 5-10 Marvel comics before bed (Nothing wrong with it, just get ready for some weird stuff).

Well that's the only reason I can think why I dreamt about work but the manager being the Hulk or why my college was invaded by the Borg and we were saved by the Avengers.  Don't worry the Hulk smashed the annoying customers and the Borg destroyed the college.  So it was all good Grin.

This was probably propelled by the joke on the "you might be a nerd/geek" thread about Matthew's knowledge of the Legion, but last night I dreamed I was on a game show. I was challenged to name each member of the Legion as they'd come on stage, with bonus points if I could name their home planet.

A Legionaire would walk out from behind the curtain and I was trying to give their real name and home planet. That was the whole dream!

In my dream I really did remember Ultra-Boy, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, Lightning Lass, Cosmic Boy, Phantom Girl, Shrinking Violet, Bouncing Boy, Dream Girl, Wildfire, Dawnstar, Sun Boy, Star Boy, Chameleon Boy, and Element Lad. I got the bonus points too for every one of their home planets except Star Boy and Element Lad.

Shrinking Violet even winked at me. I can see where I wanted this dream to go.

But then Shadow Lass came out and I simply could not remember her name. She was looking at me all miffed because I'd done so well with everyone else.

I couldn't remember the name so the turn went to my opponent, who would get all of my points if he could remember. He said her name and won.

In the dream that was the only part that was blurred because, well, I couldn't remember her name. Shadow Lass cost me a million dollars!

The first thing I did this morning was look Shady up on wiki to remind myself. If only I could have remembered "Tasmia Mallor from Talok VIII"!

It is not just comics.

Once I was playing Half-Life until 2 in the morning and you can basically guess what the dream was about.  I was running around City 17 with the resistance fighters.  It was just like the game as I died and like the game started again.  That was annoying.

I have also had a few Doom dreams.  One went a bit weird as we were saved by Superman (maybe due to watching Superman Doomsday)

You know how I never get truly sad or angry?
Well that has a MAJOR downside.
All those emotions I never express, are locked away in the deepest corner of my mind. Once a year, they come together to form the most f'd up series of dreams. Ever since I was 13 I started having the scariest dream ever. This dream only occurs once per year during the month of September. This is the only nightmare I have.

The plot is essentially this:
I am a detective, one with an unusually strong will. This is important, since the person I am chasing is must not be human, has no body that I know of.
I call him the Mind F..., but I also call him Malevolence.
It is the most depressing dream ever, since I never catch the thing. That thing hops from mind to mind and gives the most traumatizing and vivid nightmares to its victims, to the point of delivering actual sensations to the victim's body. Sometimes the dreams scare the victim to death, sometimes drive them to suicide, and sometimes just leaving them a vegetable. The only person who has survived a visit from Malevolence is my character, the detective.  Also, as the observer of the over scenario, I also experience the dreams...which is... disturbing. I won't tell you the dreams since they would give you nightmares you would not be able to handle.

The creepiest part of this dream is that is starts off where it left off the previous year.
I end up waking in a cold sweat.

Luckily this dream only comes annually.

Over the last 10 years I have dreamed this dream, Malevolence has killed the detective's partner, the police chief, a bunch of policemen, the governor, and a whole bunch of innocents.

Think of it as a Death Note Scenario, but without the tapes from Kira.
Everyone is afraid to sleep. Also everyone is afraid to go after him, except for me.
In the last dream, things took a darker turn with a few of the comatose victims started walking and going after the detective. The detective also suspects some people may also be under Malevolence's control, seeing as he was suddenly dismissed from the force for no apparent reason.

I haven't had a nightmare for a couple of years now, remember having nightmares, but since, this will sound completely mad, I learnt to control dreams I haven't had any.  I remember having this nightmare after watching Ghostbusters 2, the villain was chasing after us and we couldn't get away from him no matter what we did.  Then after watching Ghostbusters last year I had it again.  It started off the same until my conscious mind started to wake up,  then I stopped running turned around and hit with a KAMAHAMAHA blast (I watch too much DBZ)

The dreams I count as nightmares now are the boring real life ones, where I'm at work or at home cause you don't realise they are a dream until you wake up.  Unless of course something weird happens like your house changes shape or size.  I would like to know why the hell did I dream my house had 5 bathrooms Huh

Anyway if you really...really want weird f'ed up dreams try going to sleep dosed up on morphine, paracetamol, trimodal and liquid paracetamol.  I have no idea when the dream finished and I woke up.  Thanks to my crap eyesight I thought I was still dreaming and almost unscrewed the bolt holding up my drip pumps.  I snapped out of it when the pain killers started to wear off and the pain started again.

I dreamed last night that I was hurrying into a hotel with my luggage. I was never sure why.

I tried to go to a room in the hotel where I knew I would be safe but the elevator took me somewhere else. I went into the room that had been assigned to me but I'd never been there before.

I was tired so I laid down but I laid down on the floor to sleep. Then I felt something heavy lay on top of me.

It was a brown bear.

It seemed to like me but didn't want me to leave. I was trying to lay very still and it just kept breathing on me.

I tried to slowly roll out from under it but it grabbed me gently but firly by my ear with its teeth and made it clear I wasn't going anywhere. Then it licked my ear.

It was creepy. I woke up this morning and checked to make sure I hadn't been the victim of nighttime bear-lovin'.

Well, I do control my dreams as well...that one nightmare is the one I cannot control. Usually I just throw a HHG and I am fine.
Falling off a cliff, Holy Hand Grenade. Skeleton, HHG. Monster Truck trying to crush me, HHG. ...and so on.

Last night, I dreamed I was in a college class and my girlfriend arrived. She'd brought me a present and was very excited to give it to me.

It was a live chicken!

Still trying to figure out what that means.
