Ok, what is your guiltiest movie pleasure?  Mine is Rudy with Samwise Astin.  For some reason Whenever its on I sit and watch the whole damn thing.  My other would be anything in the Sharpe series.  I have them on multiple DVD's but I always watch them.

Yours?

Comedies seem to come to mind for some reason. On my list would be:

Zoolander
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Jerk
The New Guy

  • Naked Gun Series
  • Spaceballs
  • Hot Shots and Hot Shots part Deux

My action films have to be.

  • Total Recall
  • Commando
  • Terminator 1 and 2
  • Last Action Hero
  • Ramboo series
  • Robocop 1 and 2 (3 just got weird)

I'd have to say the Twilight movies. I don't own them, but I have seen them in theaters and I have seen the Rifftraxed version of the first and...I just love making fun of these movies. When I saw New Moon I had stop myself from laughing every five minutes it was so ridiculous.

I really feel guilty giving money to a franchise which I pretty much despise, but these movies are just too fun to watch : I find them so full of flaws and stupidity, and yet they take themselves so seriously...it's irresistible. I could talk for hours about the Twilight aga and all the things that I find wrong with it.

Zoolander, without a doubt! Me and my friends quote that movie all the time. The Big Lebowski (The Dude abides) and Juno also come to mind.

There's been some hate on here for Zoolander but it cracks me up.

Holy crap Aubre, I love that you have Rudy for your pick. Honestly, sports movies get me every time and, I'm not afraid to admit, I cry every time at the end of Rudy...Rocky and Rocky 2 as well.

But come on guys!!! You all list sports movies, action flicks and off the wall comedies...lame Smiley

Ivdar gets full credit with the Twilight movies...I feel guilty FOR him for having that pick Smiley

I like the chick flicks. I admit it. Fried Green Tomatoes, The Notebook, An Officer and a Gentleman,  and, the king, err, queen of chick flicks, Steel Magnolias. OMG Sally Field...not so much Titanic, too many effects to truly be a chick flick IMHO

Another, really bad habit I picked up from my mother, was a love for musicals. This one I'm ashamed of actually. Grease, My Fair Lady, West Side Story, A Chorus Line (I hope I get it. I hope I get it)...yea, and I like the Sentry...so much explained in one post Smiley

Also of note are the Tyler Perry movies, although I think they rock, I've heard people really talk smack on them...just saying

I hate musicals so much I can't even watch them. I can't even bring myself to watch Glee, which I hear is good.

The movie Babe (yes, the talking pig movie) is one of my favorite movies. Does that count?

OMG, yes. That counts and them some. I hate movies where they make animals or babies talk. Animated stuff and those commercials with that funny baby are cool. But "Look Who's Talking?" and, yes, "Babe" the talking pig, no way.

I like Babe for the message. You know me and all that "rise above your labels and limitations" stuff.

And what is wrong with action and comedies (gives Gaumer the evil eye Shocked ).

The modern action flicks are over the top and half of the newer comedies are just not that funny.  However if you go back to the original Terminator films and compare them to the new ones, you'll see how action films use too much CGI.

That's why all my choices are older films

Die Hard is an older action movie. Not too much CGI and I think it set the bar for action films in its time.

I'd have to list it as a guilty pleasure. ... Perhaps any Die Hard movie.

I always have to stop and watch the unstoppable John McClane.   Cool

IDK. I just see really bad comedies and '80's style action movies as the stereotypical 'guy' movie and, with the audience on MS, NOT a qualified choice for "Guilty Pleasure" movies.

Guilty Pleasure movie should be embarrassing at least in theory.

OK movies that you feel guilty watching.

Their not movies, but I'm not afraid to say I have watched all the Ben 10 and Ben 10 Alien Force feature length episodes and the live action films too.  I once taped one on Sky+ and my sister found it.  Her reaction was "What the hell is a 25 year old man watching a kids cartoon."

P.S I can't repeat what she said when she found me watching Super Hero Squad on YouTube.  Grin
