So I figure Kitty comes back and reminded that its her night to do the dishes Smiley

I can see it now.

Kitty is arrives at the Utopia Command Center...

Cyclops: Kitty I am so glad that you made it back safe.
Kitty: I am glad someone decided to come save me.  It was really rough trying to survive without food and...
Cyclops: Since you have been gone for so long you are going to have to play catch up when it comes to chores around the island.  You can start with the kitchen and danger room.

Then Kitty will point to the fore-panel and exclaim, "Scott Summers is a JERK!!"

I bet they've already rented her room out and everything.

You know Second Coming is right around the corner too...

So it may be like, "OMGZ, its Hope; she's like the OMGZ and she saved Cable in the future and she's only 3 months old but OMGZ she's so hawt; and OMGZ do you think she's Mrs. Summers come back?...again?; and OMGZ she can be my roommate and she can tell me all about the future and how she totally pwned Bishop, and OMGZ I wonder if she wants to be a New Mutant?...and OMGZ look Illyana is SOOOOO jealous...and hey, how's it going Kitty? Where have you been? Have you met Hope?"

And found someone to replace her... who they codenamed Catty Pride.

They'll probably make Kitty go get Hope's sippy-cup...since she was already in the kitchen doing dishes and all.

I finally got to read Uncanny X-Men #520. Spoilers thoughts below.

Magneto says he's going to do something to redeem himself and demonstrate his good faith. He treks to a place of high altitude with a clear view of the sky above and a vast open tract of land below. Then he starts meditating or, more likely, focusing.

So it does seem likely that Magneto is going to return Kitty to Earth, since her return is only issue-after-next. Agree?

I do agree.  I didn't want to post anything about this earlier b/c I didn't want to spoil it for you.

I really appreciate that, Morpheus. Seriously, thanks.

One of the things that really convinces me of this being Magneto's plan is the fact that he physically hiked to the top of that mountain. If I didn't know what was coming I might have thought it was all part of a spiritual thing; hiking up the mountain and then meditating.

Knowing what we know though, it seems more likely that Magneto was simply conserving his power. And what would require someone as powerful as Magneto to conserve power? ... Maybe locating and retrieving a mile-long bullet from deep space?

Ok, this thought crossed my mind but quickly exited stage left.

Magneto struggled with his power and the fatigue that comes with it in his old age just powering a generator and moving...what was it? A piece of Utopia or something...about 50 feet away. Not a planetoid sized bullet millions of miles away. Not taking anything away from Magneto but the guy is old and has been shown to be tired from it. I still love him and he is still a badass, he's just been portrayed as older and weaker.

I think it would actually be very cool for Magneto to do this (although Scott will STILL doubt his intent...jerkoff) but it just doesn't work for me if he's as weak as has been portrayed. Maybe they'll fix it before the ish.

Yes but isn't there supposed to be a death soon in the title?

Perhaps Magneto sacrifices his life to save Kitty. This will redeem him and also give Scott one more burden to carry, since he made it clear he wouldn't trust Magneto.

Kitty would also have this burden to carry though it may affect her less. I remember Colossus was once affiliated with Magneto but I don't know how that ended up. Magneto's sacrifice to save Peter's love could have some ramifications if they wrote it well enough.

But at the moment I am predicting that Kitty will return and Magneto will be dead (for that month anyway).

I agree Gaumer that Magneto is appearing to be really weak, but I wonder if he does this as a last ditch effort that eventually kills him.  We do know that someone will die during the second coming arc.

Also, we have all be talking about the second coming being the return of Hope, but what if the second coming is really the return of Kitty, the savior of the mutant race!

I was typing this at the same time as Navarre... I guess great minds think a like.  Grin

It is a benefit of being a part of the Dominion. Collective empathy with no loss of individuality. Cool, eh?

I have wondered what the ramifications of Kitty's return will be. If she is the second coming that would be very interesting.

Slappy will give up Marvel forever.  lmao

I think Slappy's dealio was the returning from the grave/lost-ness.

Kitty's cool. I really hope that Second Coming is Hope's return and not Kitty's. If Kitty is actually the savior of mutant kind than Cable and Bishop have wasted a whole lot of time (get it? "time"?? See what I did there??).

I don't know what Magneto is doing but is seems (according to the solicits) he's there for DAYS doing something. That could definitely be slowly pulling a huge metal bullet towards the Earth. But Scott will probably take all the credit Smiley

I don't think Kitty is the Second Coming. In fact, I hope she's not. I have seen nothing to make that fit.

I agree with Slappy about the problem of returning pseudo-dead characters. It's just that I have never once thought Kitty was dead, only missing.

I get some flack from some members for being such a fan of Kitty. It's not that I'm obsessed with her as much as I feel the issue of a missing, and yes beloved, major character was just left hanging.

I will be glad to see that resolved. I would have even rather seen her dead, for real, than all the Marvel Universe giving a collective shrug and going on about their day.
