Author Topic: Saving Kitty Pryde  (Read 4844 times)

My understanding of Kitty's current situation is that she has phased into a giant bullet from the Breakworld which is hurtling through space. She is alive but the bullet's substance is hardening over time, making it ever-harder for her to be extracted. However, she is alive.

Steve Rogers is back. Illyana is back. I'm 2 for 3.

How could we rescue Kitty?

Step One would be to get that stupid bullet out of outer space and place it on Earth or somewhere safe so others could work with it.

Step Two is extracting Kitty from the bullet. Duh.

Wikipedia says Lockheed approached Unit for help but then changed his mind because the price would be releasing Unit from prison. ... Who/What is Unit and why did Lockheed think he/she/it could help?

Kitty has had trouble with the molecular composition of the Breakworld and the bullet but that does not mean all density-altering characters do. Could the Vision help her phase out? I believe Kitty can prevent electrical circuits from being disrupted now if she chooses.

Warlock has the ability to assume control of materials with his techno-organic virus. Could he assimilate the bullet and then carefully release Kitty from it in the way one would remove a foreign body?

Couldn't Illyana take a team back in time to the point right after the bullet was phased through the Earth but before it became lost and harder? ... Of course, time-travel and magic should be able to fix most anything if used properly.

Kitty's DNA has got to be around somewhere, preserved by Beast or someone. Could Emma transplant Kitty's consciousness into an age-progressed body here on Earth?

Lockheed and the Pet Avengers retreived the Infinity Gems. I believe Lockjaw gave them to Mr. Fantastic. So, c'mon! Why hasn't Reed saved Kitty?

The site is completely dead this weekend so I am looking for things to talk about. And, really, this topic is much more important than things like world peace and the meaning of life.

So how do we save Kitty?

Yes, you've mentioned that before. Why/How do you think Sentry will save her?

Sentry will punch the fourth wall in anger, which causes Kitty to fall out of the bullet. How can you not see this coming!

Well, the Sentry sort of owes the mutants a pretty big favor. Well, maybe just Emma...anyways, in New Avengers Emma used her psychic powers to stuff up the Sentry's melon and hide the Void all up in there somewhere. More recently, a sliver of Void got all up in Emma's head (I bet that stings) and she went all diamondy until, even more recently, Senior Summers went in Emma;s dome to give her the ups, but the Void went all up in Cyc's noggin. But, and yes, Phoenix saves the day again, Scott beat the Void down in the psychic battle claiming that being with the most powerful psychic ever (i.e. Jean) for so long gave him the skillz to illz.

So all they need to do is call in the favor. Of course, Sentry would have to be in his right mind to some extent and not working for the man who was embarrassed on National tv by the mutant leader. Oh well. A nice storyline would have been Colossus realizing that Sentry could do it and going to Osbourne to make a deal...oh well...again Smiley

Oh, and the Sentry has Molecule-Man  power times a million...exploding suns...so some Breakworld super-alloy is like PlayDoh to the all powerful Sentry. Seriously, all that dude needs is like a ton of prozac and he would pwn Smiley

With Kitty stuck in there, I think she's going to be pissed if/when she gets out. The X-Men stay busy, I know, but DAMN!!! That's your homey up there, guys!!

I think they should wait til Dollhouse gets canned and have Whedon bring her back the right way.

That would be perfection incarnate.

Let her DIE!!!
Please let us return to a policy of that character is dead.  You can have another person in the costume but that person is dead.
Just like Bucky, oh wait... Just like Jason Todd!!! .. Oh wait... Aunt May?...
JUST LIKE THE MONK FROM DETECTIVE COMICS 31 & 32 in 1939!!!
Sorry but I got excited.
Please Matthew, do not contradict me with facts that the character is still alive.

We already know, and have pretty much always assumed, that Kitty isn't dead.

That's why I'm torqued. She's alive...so go save her already!

Maybe Emma can switch your consiousness with Kitty's. ... It's cold and lonely in space.

Wait...then you'd be in Kitty's body and I'd be stuck with you.  *rethinks plan*

Nav, Kitty's been missing for over 4 months Marvel time. You can only live without food for slightly over a month. The chances of her being alive are rather slim.

Emma recently confirmed that Kitty is still alive, didn't she?

Yes, and crazy enough, yes.

She didnt have any food, and lack of water would have killed her long before hunger. But I think Emma did say she was alive, and I know that Abigail Brand, the SWORD lady, told Lockheed that she was alive.

So the bullet must be feeding and watering her Smiley
See its a nice bullet

No. Bad bullet, bad!

I don't have an explanation for why she is alive but she is. I am sure some writer will have an answer. It probably has something to do with her phased state. Or maybe we will even see her power taken to a new level or make a discovery about her.

Or maybe Kitty is sustained by the power of my luuuuuuuv.

(you may hurl now if you wish)
