I have specifically avoiding learning the entirety of the Irredeemable story in case there was something I wasn't to surprise me. But I thought the point of the story was to show how the world's greatest hero could fall so far from grace as to become the world's greatest villain.
Did that not pay off? I haven't bought the trade yet but have it on my list...unless you convince me otherwise.
Currently I'm in the opposite boat Irredeemable is in my "eh" pile. I may get around to it someday but unless I'm convinced otherwise I currently don't have a real interest in it. I am interested in picking up at trade at my LCS (first time I've ever used that tag) tomorrow. I have to pick up one that didn't make it on my Christmas list yet I still have an interests in and it has to be in stock. Wish me luck because that will be no small task in it self. Thankfully I have another day of reading thought #1 issue's and previews between downtime at work and already have a few in mind that I would like to pick up.
Abyss from Red 5 looked like a fun little 4 issues story. I really enjoyed the way the first issue played out.
Amber Atoms was ok but the Art and story failed to really grab me in the first issue.
Borderlands Origins I liked it the art was a lot like the video game and it was cool to see who Roland (soldier) was before Pandora.
Teen Titans was really weird but then again I'm not use to the GD Batman from comics so maybe that's why the whole thing just felt really odd.
Wanted has a nice set up. It's cool to read this after seeing the movie because I can see how the movie was adapted or things they took from the comic and things they left out.
Sadly that's about it for right now. Again these are based on me only reading the #1 issue of each series so I don't know anything past that unless it's been in the first 200 podcasts of the MSP and even if it has chances are I've forgotten what it was.
