I'd just use the stats for current ranged weapons. A greatbow for a rifle, a repeating crossbow for a revolver, etc.

I do the exact same. And then I flavor text. So when the little Dwarf Ranger uses Twin Strike he pulls his two guns. And on the Presicion shot one he uses his "rifle".

I don't know what happened - but it was super epic.

Great job to the whole Critical hit team. First time i listened to the episode I was like: " What??? How`??? When??? WHAT???"
The whole team was just playing it strait. But on the second listen you can hear the the team is just looooving messing with the listener.

(insert nerdy voice) Best episode ever!

6  General Category / Trades You Should Be Reading / Trading Trades? on: September 07, 2011, 01:02:34 AM
Where I live (Norway) the best and cheapest way to get comics is getteng the trade of Amazon.
BUT!
When I get a comic and the price is 10 USD I get to pay around 12 USD in shipping!!!!
This is still cheaper than bying the comic locally or via the UK Amazon, but its still more than doubbles the prize.

I have some trades on the shelve that I like and have read and thad does not need to be in my collection.

Anybody up for a little trade-trading?

So now we have that out of the way.
What do you guys thing about letting your players get the +1 bonus for 2hand when using light shield?
One of my players insist that he can steady his spear with the light shield hand, and for the creativity of it I let him get it.

Gandalf had to be heroic tier!
Otherwise he would have teleported the fellowship into Mordor. "Plop" goes the ring, and "normality restored" as the heart of gold says.

... and damage is capped at 50d10.

LOL - Gandalf got a max of 500 points of dmg. and lost his brains. Wuss.

By that level, my reading of things is that WotC expects you to be incorporating things like aerial combat and dangerous terrain to keep things both interesting and fast paced.  Falling damage is pretty rough and I believe they expect you to be using it by this point to some effect in fights.

Since not every fight can be an aerial one, there are terrain features to deal with other fights.  A river of lava, a chasm you can push enemies into, a wall you can knock people off of to a lower level, are all things that can do large amounts of damage to make monsters go down faster.  And it also keeps a sense of danger since the players can be subjected to the same damage.

I love these things - but my players hate being pushed over a cliff. Im lucky that one of my player is extremly innovative when using terrein.
