I just read Uncanny X-Men #516. Good issue, clearly an intro issue into more.

I noticed there isn't an ongoing thread for Uncanny X-Men so, booyah, here it is.

I will start with a simple question:

Who is the blond female mutant I keep seeing who has the diamond-burst light effect around her?

I read this issue and it was a great issue.  It was funny to see Xavier so aggressive towards Magneto even after all the events that happened in X-Men Legends.  It also shows how the mutants see Cyclops as the leader now and Xavier is just the mentor on the sidelines.

I am looking forward to see what the larger storyline is and whats with the goblins and how will Scott react to the return of the Goblin Queen (seriously what is with all the villains with Goblin in their titles ).  Or even better if she's still around when Cable returns how will he react to her return.

All of us in life come to a point where we no longer seem a vital part of the world we helped make. Charles is seeing everything he has created move from him to his "son", Cyclops.

Most people have to accept that, enjoy what remains, and let things go. ... Charles is not the average person.

I foresee Charles aggressively trying to restore the influence he once had on the mutant population, in some way or another. All of us are victims to the worst sin, pride. Charles is no exception.

So...Who is the blond female mutant who has the diamond-burst light effect around her?

Also...Who's that super-hot minx with the red hair that was hanging around with the bad guys?

Sorry, I only started reading Uncanny last issue. I'm out of the loop.

I wish I could help, but I am not sure who those characters are and I have been reading Uncanny.  I think the blonde might be Dazzler, but I have no idea who the red-head is.

I thought of Dazzler but she look more blond than Dazzler normally looks as well as younger. I dunno.

The red-head is shown a lot on-panel even though she has no lines. Marvel2099 mentioned the Goblin Queen but I don't know anything about her being back. The red-head couldn't be some Madelyne Pryor persona, could she?

Are we sure that isn't still Mystique playing Professor X? He came off as a real prick to Magneto...I know they have history and all, but I wouldn't think he'd be such a douche. I know the X-Men have telepaths but Osbourne could have come up with some cool blocker and it being Xavier, he has an excuse to not being able to be read. Osbourne working it from the inside. And it would be cooler if Cyclops knows all about it and is playing Osbourne right back.

Could Mystique duplicate Charles's psi abilities like that?

Blond haired girl all I can say is...

But the red head I'm pretty sure is the Goblin Queen cause of two reasons.

1) It would explain the goblin like creatures

2) I'm pretty sure I read in one of those interview type things Marvel does on the website the Goblin Queen was mentioned.

Xavier is not Mystique as she is still with the Dark X-Men (Whats left of it) and will soon be up against Nate Summers AKA X-Man (I can see why he was called this in AoA but seriously ain't all the male member of the X-Men called X-Man at one time or another )

Ok, after a little searching Goblin Queen = Red Queen.  But, what I couldn't find was when she became the Goblin Queen.  Does she control Goblins?

I don't know that much about Madelyne Prior except that she is a clone of Jean Grey and the mother of Cable.  In the beginning they fought she was Jean Grey until the truth was found out and out of despair Madelyne Prior became the Goblin Queen, as one of cable stories was titled "Son of the Goblin Queen."
Other than that Madelyne Prior  was before my time.  For more info check Wikipedia .

Madelyne Pryor's history is very complicated. Don't get me started.

But it did involve S'ym, Illyana's former right-hand demon from Limbo.

I read Uncanny X-men #521 last night and we were all right.  Magneto is going to bring the bullet back with Kitty still alive in it.  She was shown on panel talking to herself. 

However, I think this might lead to Magneto's death.  At least he sure looks like he is going to die.

Also, Wolverine and his hunting party found out who had sent the Predator Xs at Utopia.  They are some genetically grown "mutants" that are specifically grown to defeat the X-men.  The only reason Wolverine, Colossus, and Psylocke didn't get killed was the intervention of a mercenary (I can't remember his name will have to add it when I get home).

Overall I think this was a good issue.  I am excitedly waiting for the next issue.  Did anyone else read this issue?  Navarre you should have bought it since it shows Kitty in it.

I believe my girlfriend has bought #521 for me. I just haven't read it yet.

Despite the spoilers here (no worries) I am excited to read it. I felt I was correct about Magneto using his power to bring my Kitty home.

It looks like the graveside scene for the X-Men will be Magneto, as I thought. Ah well, he too will one day return from the dead, right?

And are you thinking of Fantomex?

That is right.  Fantomex.  I don't know much about him, but he seemed like an interesting character.  And it looks like me might be joining the mutants on Utopia.
