I accept your apology. You shall only be whipped, not beaten. So, about the whole Dark Reign thing, is there an end in sight to Osborn's rulership? I had heard some conjecture that the return of Steve Rogers would be the beginning of the end for Norman.

After the last Dark Avengers title there was some hints that the end could be on the way, but "The List" titles that are coming out I think run through the end of the year.
I know a lot of people complain about these big events, but I have to say that the Dark Reign that is going on hasn't really felt like a big event other than a change to the status quo. I wouldn't mind if Osborn stays in charge of HAMMER for a while and we get to watch how some of the heroes become the villians and vise versa.

I have found Dark Reign to be acceptable. But I agree that it serves better as a change in the setting than as an "event".
I suppose it seemed like an event because the change happened so rapidly. But they would be better served to let this ride for a while instead of a quick resolution.

I have read the first two List books and I thought they were pretty good. I would have read Dark Reign: The List X-men, but damn the royal mail I still have not got them yet.
The books yet to come also look good by the previews that MARVEL have given out. The one I am looking forward too is The List SPIDER-MAN as judging by the front cover I think Norman allows the Green Goblin out. However don't judge a comic-book by it's cover. Look at Dark Avengers #8.
I don't know what role Rodgers will play in Normans downfall but just think what he did during the Civil War. That was against Iron-Man a past fellow avenger, friend and ally. What will he do against an ex-criminal and pshyco. Someone who has destroyed S.H.I.E.L.D, IN LEAQUE WITH DOOM (for now???) and wears a suite of armour with his colours painted on it.

I agree, Marvel2099, Steve Rogers is going to right some wrongs and hit Osborne/Goblin/Iron Patriot where it hurts. Welcome to the forum!

It would be better if he joined with Osbourne.
Tony was already taking it in this direction and it was Tony who put Osbourne in the position he was in when he fired the shot that gave him the stuff. Tony made the villains legit and Cap laready gave up that war because its what the people wanted.

That may be a bit along the concept that the populace is often willing to look the other way just a bit or be accepting to have certain facts obscured so long as their world works in orderly fashion and they do not feel oppressed.
The general population may tend to follow that sort of paradigm. Osborne would certainly be happy to have it.
But I don't believe Steve Rogers is a man who will let government dictate the good of the people through deceit and power-mongering. That is very much the kind of thing Cap stood against in Civil War, and throughout his career.

I agree with most of what you said but remember was it not Cap that made a deal with the Kingpin, which led to the death of Hammerhead. He also had Hulkling spy on Tony through Yellow Jacket The whole Thunderbolts and criminal control, can you be sure it was Tony. Was it not the leader of the RSA. In the New Warriors the Secretary of State kept threatening to realease the Thunderbolts if Tony did not stop them. Meaning Tony did not control the Thunderbolts. Plus It will all depend who holds the shield?

Just read Dark Reign The List Secret Warriors. It was a great issue with some answers and some questions being made. Like what has Furry got planned with Ares. The best part was Norman's list that he had by his bed (it was written on paper, this from a guy who walks around in armour.). Apparently Norman wants to rule the world then kill Spider-Man (It shows he can put business before personal revenge). But then comes the funny part. Furry tells him that he knew about his list and he has his own. 1) Save the World 2) Punch Norman in the face 3) Have a beer I can tell you he does one of these in the book.

Furry is a great character. Dude's been around since before almost every current mortal character in Marvel so he's got a world of street cred in my book.

I thought I would write a few words on the more recent "Dark Reign The List" First issue is DRTL Hulk is about Skaar and Banner saving a friend from Norman Osborn and also destroying the H.A.M.M.E.R bases that were researching the OLD power. However the bases are actually also trying to bring back the Hulk. As Norman said it, the real threat is Banner as the Hulk acts on response and Banner plans in advance. With that brain of his Norman should be scared. DRTL Punisher has Norman finishing what the Hood started and chases him down. Once Frank was cornered Draken was released to kill him. Due to what Frank went through, he has lost most of his will to fight and keeps saying how his wife was waiting for him. (I don't see why. He torched their bodies in Punisher #10) However it ends with Frank having his body chopped up and thrown off a building. DRTL Wolverine is a comic that has Wolverine in it but the main characters are Fantomx and Captain Marvel. Basically Norman wants to control the World weapon facility, which brings in Wolverine to try to stop him. Once Wolverine and Captain Marvel get into the facility all hell breaks lose and Wolverine turns on Captain Marvel. This is where FantomX comes in and tells CM whats going on and what is controlling everybody. If you believe in a higher power than don't go to the World. Th world has become alive and has grown a brain and the way it's beaten is CM has to kiss it. This then allows Wolverine to help the others to defeat Normans dead troops. 3 great issues. Just wanted to keep the topic going seeing as the issues are still going

The Secret Warriors book happening in continuity with the monthly SW book and the DR issue happening out of freakin' order was a huge kick in the balls for me. Thanks for dropping that ball Marvel. The Wolverine issue seemed to be 'ok' but it had no bearing on any monthly Wolvie book (I know, it stems from Weapon X, but had no bearing on the monthly) so why not push the Wolvie issue back and put the SW book out in continuity? Why, Marvel? Why?
But they have been pretty good reads overall.

Cool. So what are the perks, a key to the Baxter building, a day using the watcher's computer so I can watch "What If?" stories all day or my own Spidey- Mobile (What I thought it was cool ) Yep SW was a bit confusing at first until I read that SW #9 happened before the events of Dark Reign The List Secret Warriors. I wonder where The List Spider-Man comes in the grand scheme of things. Saying that where does Ms Marvel #47 come into Spider-Man's story.
