I must admit that is true. Ever since Messiah Complex the X-Teams have been teaming up. Sometimes it's only a couple of groups and other times you have half the mutants working together. However this time there are two X-Saga's. The one I mentioned, which is all about dead mutants coming back thanks to the Black Queen. However you also have the return of Cable and Hope, which Marvel have started to hype up (on the website). But before all that you have MAGNETO  |

The one I mentioned, which is all about dead mutants coming back thanks to the Black Queen. Why does that plot sounds vaguely familiar? Are these mutants wearing black rings? And, yes, Magneto is back. That always makes things more interesting, doesn't it. *grins* |

How long will Magneto be 'the villain' this time?
I'm sure he's just pissed cause these mutants are squatting on his old homestead. You give him some rent and he'll be cool again...just in time to be key in the whole Necrosha deally coming up which I'm sure Hope will have an impact on.

Magneto doesn't seem to be a villainous anymore. At least, he doesn't seem to be the main adversary.
He seems to more often be that morally gray character that is part of the conflict but, ultimately, part of the resolution.
Maybe Magneto needs to break bad again and do something heinous, before he lose his Master-Villain Membership Card.
Magneto did used to hold a spot as Headmaster for the New Mutants. And he has ties to Bobby through the Hellfire Club.
I wouldn't mind seeing something there.
Not that this will happen but I wonder what would happen if the New Mutants sided up with Magneto for some reason (although Sam probably wouldn't). It would be interesting to see Bobby, Illyana, and ticked-off Dani on his side of a conflict, dragging Amara in with them.

I kind of like the idea of Magneto coming back b/c he was depowered thanks to his daughter. Then he made some deal with a supreme being, for the life of me I can't remember who, and was given some equipment to mimic his powers, but they are limited and it really takes a toll on his body. I believe the last time Magneto was in the early 500s of Uncanny X-men shortly after they move to San Fran.
So, it will be interesting to see what he is going to do. It could be really cool if he joins the X-men since Magneto has always been against the humans.

Maybe a good question would be do we want Magneto to once again be one of the premiere villains in the MU (for a legitimate reason), or be the somewhat morally ambiguous character he has become, or to redeem after all this time and be one of the white hats?

I believe Magneto got his Super Suit from the High Evolutionary.
"Magda!!! Where - is - my - super - suit?"
With only 200 or so mutants left, who does Magneto really have to fight for anymore? I'd like to see an issue where Cyclops is confronted by Magneto for Cyc's crimes (mainly getting X-Force together). It seems like the similarities there would make for an awesome story.
And, yes, Magneto was de-powered by the witch but only after he killed Quicksilver in HoM. If anything, Magneto is just as responsible for the Decimation as the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
Did I open a can of worms that should have spoiled a long time ago?

Magneto's responsibility toward the current state of mutant affairs deserves to be addressed. The Scarlet Witch always gets all of the blame for it.

I think that Magneto will help the X-Men against Norman and H.A.M.M.E.R (which for the X-Men titles stands for Humans Against Mutant Menaces, Ex-terrestrial and Robots  ) However the way he does it may go to far for Xavier, which will cause Magneto to reveal Cyclops secret strike team. |

She belongs in New Mutants. Any chance she might shift titles?

Then I guess for now I'll just accept that she isn't going to be in the New Mutants. It's not like she was my favorite character or anything. I just miss the original line-up, before Warlock.
