Buckaroo Banzai Turns 25!

Everyone knows Stephen is a big Buckaroo fan, and yesterday (8/15/09), The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension celebrated the 25th Anniversary of it's release in theaters.

If you've never seen this movie, you should make a point of checking it out.  It's like the greatest comic book movie ever made, without a comic book preceding it.  The plot is a little convoluted with lots of different things going on, it's funny, and there is simply nothing else like it out there.  Possibly Big Trouble in Little China, but only because the script for that movie was written by Buckaroo's director W.D. Richter.

Never seen this, I may have to see if I can find a copy somewhere to rent. Was always curious, but like Megaforce, just never really attempted to dig it up.

I've been in the mood to watch a movie that is more bester than most of the stuff I am finding. I'll have to check this out.
