Good Luck – and THANK YOU MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!

I have to give it to MODOK. I’m curious about how he/she was able to move in that thing.

Tough choices this year! Awesome job, everyone!

      • Damascus on October 27, 2011 2:34 am

Yeah, I didn’t realize anyone was in there though. Also, he must’ve had one helluva time looking through the back issue bins.

    4. J Michael T on October 25, 2011 11:19 am

Tough choices this year. But congrats to all contestants!

    6. Blue Yonder on October 25, 2011 11:56 am

They are all awesome, but I have to give it up for Jinx . . . her hair makes me think of cotton candy.

      • Damascus on October 27, 2011 2:35 am

What’s Jinx from? The girl’s super cute, but I don’t know what the character is from.

    7. Frank on October 25, 2011 11:57 am

This is an amazing group. I am sure Stephen and the gang had a hard time choosing the top seven.

    8. Russ Catt on October 25, 2011 12:25 pm

Tough Call, but I think the Warlock costume is outstanding.
      Congrats to all.

    9. Ricco on October 25, 2011 12:41 pm

Jinx, a perfect anime to reality translation.

    10. Sarcasm-hime on October 25, 2011 12:56 pm

Wow, after seeing all the *amazing* entries I’m surprised and flattered to have made it here! (Jinx)

    11. OS Perry on October 25, 2011 4:36 pm

Warlock should be disqualified for using such a terrible low res postage stamp image.

I much prefer the Scarlet Witch you featured yesterdayover Warlock.

Couldn’t they have provided a higher res image. you can’t see any of the details.
It could be an action figure for all I can tell from that.

    12. Socies on October 25, 2011 5:12 pm

@OS Perry, that is DEFINITELY a real guy in there! I posed with him for about 15-30 mins during the SCF Marvel Universe photoshoot at this year’s Dragon*Con, and the costume is just great in person. You know a costume’s good when it makes you wonder if it’s actually an action figure and not a person, right?

Gah. All of these are awesome. Going to be tough to pick just one. Way to take over again, SCF!

    13. Jenni Whip on October 25, 2011 7:54 pm

Hmmm…I’m trying to vote but there is no “vote” button?? I say M.O.D.O.K!!

      • Stephen Schleicher on October 25, 2011 7:59 pm

More than likely someone from your same IP address has already voted. Try clearing your cache and reloading the page.

    14. Antonio Sanciolo on October 26, 2011 12:29 am

the competition gets fiercer each year! I think this is the first time I haven’t known straight away who I wouldn’t vote for. Whilst that’s the best Deadpool costume I’ve ever seen and the Super-Adaptoid looks like it just stepped off the page; Mr. Freeze has an unnerving simplicity to it that gets my vote.

      • Paul on October 27, 2011 10:31 am

        Thank you!

    15. Beav on October 26, 2011 3:40 am

I think they’re all pretty cool, but Lady Blackhawk pips it to the post, simply because she is one of the most gorgeous women I have ever seen in my life!

      • Avril (Lady Blackhawk) on October 27, 2011 10:33 am

        Aw shucks! Thanks! ~blush~

    16. Avril (Lady Blackhawk) on October 26, 2011 5:19 am

Wow! Who woulda thunk it! Thanks for putting me in the top 7! Honoured :) Cheers, mates!

    17. Belmont on October 26, 2011 6:47 pm

All the costumes look fantastic, thanks to final seven and others for all the time and hard work that went into their costumes. WOW, hard for me to vote. Narrowed it down to Lady Blackhawk and Jinx had to do it the DC Two-Face way by the flip of a coin. Lady Blackhawk wins.

    18. JD on October 27, 2011 12:58 pm

Damn impressive all around, it’s hard to pick a favorite. But I went with MODOK because I’ve never seen such a huge and intricate Halloween costume before. And it’s absolutely convincing.

    19. Howard Campbell on October 27, 2011 2:44 pm

Lady Blackhawk all the way! Avril has put together the most authentic Lady Blackhawk costume I’ve seen, and she’s nailed Zinda’s look beautifully! Plus, she’s one of the nicest people you’d ever hope to meet!

    20. Juliana on October 28, 2011 12:01 am

Lady Blackhawk is so poised and her costume is so perfect. The smile enhances her appearance .I vote for her .

      • Avril (Lady Blackhawk) on October 28, 2011 3:56 pm

        Wow! Thanks!

    21. TheApeOfJape on October 28, 2011 2:21 am

I (the Super-Adaptoid guy) am honored to be included in this selection of truly excellent costumes. Happy Halloween, everybody – you all look great!

    22. dawnkirkland on October 28, 2011 7:09 am

      Amazing costumes but apatoid best

    23. Damien on October 28, 2011 6:20 pm

I don’t understand why Mr Freeze has so few votes. Granted they’re all amazing costumes, but for me, Mr. Freeze really captures the character as he appears in Batman: TAS. My only explanation is that he looks too good, and so people assume that he just took a photo of an action figure. He has my vote though!

      • Damascus on October 28, 2011 6:33 pm

I can only speak for myself, but I tend to vote for obscure characters that are done well. I have never seen anyone do a Super Adaptoid costume before and it was amazingly done. I thought the Mr. Freeze costume and Deadpool and really, well, everyone else’s costumes were great too. The characters I see the most tend to not get my votes though, even if they’re amazingly accurate. Such as characters like Wolverine, Deadpool, Stormtroopers, Riddler, Joker, the ones I see in such abundance that even when I see a brilliant looking costume, much like Deadpool up above, I tend to go past for something I was never expecting to see. And unfortunately for me, I didn’t know what Jinx was or I might’ve voted for her. lol

        • Damien on October 30, 2011 4:02 pm

That’s fair reasoning, but with Deadpool at the top at the time of posting, I don’t think that’s the reason he’s gotten so few votes. Still, whoever wins, they’re all excellent costumes, and any one of them will be a worthy winner!

    24. Anthony Mark on October 29, 2011 12:42 pm

All these costumes are simply amazing!
Its the Costumers that make all the Comic Conventions really special!

I want to wish everyone good luck

    25. Patrick Scholting Hardcastle on October 31, 2011 12:03 pm

I voted for Lady Blackhawk , for originality, and and looking Awesome. Happy Halloween.

    26. Katie W on October 31, 2011 6:50 pm

My own personal opinions of the superheros/villians aside: All of the costumes are fantastic! It is such a breath of fresh air to see people taking the time to make costumes true to the characters.

On a seperate note: Lady Blackhawk rocks!! Good luck!

    27. HectorDavidJrFan on October 31, 2011 7:07 pm

Lady Blackhawk is begging for votes on a message forum. http://www.rangerboard.com

      • Stephen Schleicher on October 31, 2011 9:07 pm

Well, did you vote for her?

      • Damascus on October 31, 2011 10:36 pm

Thanks for letting me know, I’ll have to drop some votes for her. Not everyone can afford an iPad, I know I can’t but if I had a chance to win one I’d beg and plead for votes. Lol. I wanna be like Stephen, I want an iPaaaad.

        • Katie W on November 1, 2011 12:21 am

I don’t see why someone can’t ask/say “Vote For Me!” cause saying it isn’t garaunteeing that they’ll actually get the vote. I’m sure Deadpool and the others have done the same thing on their own messageboards/networking sites. And who’s to say she’s the one who posted it and not a fan?

    28. Katie W on November 1, 2011 12:28 am

      http://www.comicvine.com/deadpool/29-7606/vote-deadpool/92-639276/
For those of you that may be offended that Lady Blackhawk is “begging for votes” She is clearly not the only one. So stop your griping and just vote for the COSPLAY you like

      • Matthew Peterson on November 1, 2011 1:23 pm

Polling for votes is not, and to my knowledge, has never been against the rules. This is not the first time it’s happened, and I’d say it won’t be the last.

    29. stephen on November 1, 2011 7:14 am

People campaign for votes… that’s the normal. Gotta let people see you!
