REALLY?! I mean… c’mon!
Why not?
The character has already made an appearance in the 616 Marvel Universe in an Initiative one-shot (interestingly enough, I read it last night in the Avengers: Initiative Disassembled collection–thank you, library system).
Plus, he could be (however unlikely) a bridge for some readers just outside the Super Hero Squad demographic and into the main 616 universe.
Between Avengers Academy, the recently announced Young Allies, Young Avengers and Runaways, the Marvel Universe is rapidly becoming inhabited by potentially marketable characters soon to appear on one of the many Disney owned channels.
Who’ll save the day?
Superhero Squad!
They’ll hero up … again!
Superhero Squad! (Hero up!)
Superhero Squad! (Hero up!)
Superhero Squad!
So the Avengers are the X-men now?
But will they have flightrings?
Don’t we have enough characters already? This reminds me of Young X-men. I’m willing to be we get 3 familiar faces to go with the newbies. Wasn’t interested then; not interested now. Is it too much to ask for some commitment to current characters.
The Breakfast Club Avengers. This character has to have one of the stupidest powers that I’ve seen since some of the Legion Try-out characters. I’m waiting for The Spleen to work his way in from Mystery Men.
This is obviously geared towards the pre-teens, kind of riffing on the Ben-10 audience. (Not the actual ben 10 audience since they are late teens now.)
