I’m really impressed by the properties Dynamite has been able to obtain over the years, and with what they have been able to do with them.
Dynamite Entertainment has sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of Dark Xena #2 arriving in stores May 31st. The Dark Xena saga continues as Gabrielle makes a request to the gods to bring xena back from the dead.
Dynamite Entertainment has released all the covers for the upcoming issues of Dark Xena.

Dynamite Entertainment has sent Major Spoilers a glimpse into its offerings arriving in stores this week. This week’s previews come from Dark Xena #1 featuring (what else?) the return of Dark Xena. We also get a sneak at the next installment of Battlestar Galactica: Cylon Apocalypse #3, and Raise the Dead #2. Dark Xena #1 links the finale of the popular television show with the Dynamite Entertainment series. This new series chronicles the sacrifices her companions made for her to return, as well as the consequences of her resurrection.
About the release, Dynamite Entertainment stated: “Our first Xena story brought fans back everything they loved about the Warrior Princess–action, adventure, twists and turns! Writer John Layman designed a tale of the Warrior Princess worthy of all the gods on Olympus, and artist Fabiano Neves brought the “Contest of Pantheons” to life. Dynamite Entertainment has sent us a look at the four different covers for Dark Xena #1 when it ships in May for $3.50.
Dynamite Entertainment let Major Spoilers know the company has rescheduled the Dark Xena storyline scheduled to run issues #5-8. The Dark Xena storyline takes place immediately after the television series, but before the first Dynamite Entertainment comic book series.
The reason for the re-solicitation? Dynamite told us it is a result of moving regular Xena artist Fabiano Neves from Zena to Marvel Zombies v. Army of Darkness. Noah Salonga, is moved into the series and the re-solicitation should give him plenty of time to play catch-up.
