I’m a big movie poster fan. The way a studio uses the medium to get the audiences attention is far and above any other form of advertising, including comic book covers. Take the jump to see the full promo poster for Warner Bros. upcoming movie, Whiteout.
Whiteout by Greg Rucka/Steve Lieber and released by Oni Press is getting the movie treatment (and has been for a long time now), and Warner Bros. has finally released a trailer for the film at the new Whiteout website… and here. Via IGN. Thanks embed code!
Variety is reporting Dominic Sena will direct the adaptation of Greg Rucka’s Whiteout. The comicbook turned movie will star Kate Beckinsale and is expected to begin filming March 5 in Montreal.
Story revolves around a lone U.S. marshal (Beckinsale) stationed in Antarctica who is drawn into a shocking murder investigation. With only three days until winter, she must solve the crime before the continent is plunged into darkness and she is trapped with the killer.
It took me a minute to figure out what other movies Sena has directed, but a quick glance at IMDB reveals he has a lot of experience directing the action thrillers and can handle the big name stars like Cage, Reeves, and Travolta.
