Wes Molebash, friend of the site, and creator of the web comic You’ll Have That, dropped us an email yesterday alerting us to his new web comic venture – Max vs. Max.
It would seem that Maxwell Stanton’s worst enemy is, well . . . Maxwell Stanton. Recently divorced and struggling to find direction in his life, Max does his best to stay optimistic while wrestling with his insecurities and feelings of guilt. Fortunately for Max, he has an awesome group of friends and a loving family to help him out and kick him in the pants.
Max vs. Max is about the underdog in all of us – that determined feeling we get that urges us to conquer the world even when the chips are down and the light at the end of the tunnel is still several miles away. Max is proof that seemingly insignificant people can do very significant things.
It’s probably going to be a lot different that what was found in the You’ll Have That series, but if it has half the charm, it will be a big success.
The last time we had Wes Molebash on the show, he mentioned a new project was in the works.

This is a crappy looking .gif image, but I wanted to give you guys a taste of what’s to come. Stay tuned for the actual launch date which will be pretty soon. I’m already working on my buffer…
Well, he did say it wasn’t his Zuda Kittens project. Charlie looks like an interesting character, so we’ll just have to talk with Wes real soon about his new endeavor.

This is pretty sad news for fans of the You’ll Have That web comic by Wes Molebash.
I’ve been struggling with a way to present this bit of news eloquently, so I’m just gonna lay it all out there in one big pile:
I’ve decided to end YHT.
This decision was not an easy one, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about it and talking it over with my friends and family. 2008 has been a difficult year for me personally, and I believe that now is as a good a time as any to end one project and start working on the next.
The announcement was made last month, and I’ve been holding off publishing the news until I could set up an interview with Wes. Tonight he and I will have a chat about the ending of the series, and the start of something new. You’ll be able to hear the entire piece on the next Major Spoilers Podcast.

The last time we talked with Wes Molebash he did say everything was cool with Viper Comics, but I thought it strange he had started his own You’ll Have That website seperate from Viper. Wes himself sent us an e-mail yesterday breaking the news of the split.
I have recently decided to part ways with my publisher, Viper Comics, in favor of self-publishing my comic strip. Today, Sept. 1, marks the first day that my comic will be exclusively published online at www.yhtcomic.com! I’m really excited about this move toward self-publishing, and I’ve got several things in the works for the following year including more con appearances, a new YHT book, and a graphic novel project!
With so many web comic folk going their own route, here’s hoping Wes has success in his new adventure.
Wes Molebash has some video promos of his web comic You’ll Have That. God, I love that comic. Even though the promo has low production value, it’s the joke that makes me laugh and reminds me why it is one of the sites I must visit each day.

I’m a big fan of Wes Molebash and his webcomic You’ll Have That, so I’m more than happy to pass along information about a gallery showing of his work.

The exhibit runs from July 17 until August 25, 2007 at the
Pump House Art Gallery
Chillicothe, OH 45601

Wes Molebash over at You’ll Have That has been experimenting with different art styles. Today he posted a sketch of the series character Katie.

I like it. Don’t know if Wes is up doing the whole cast like this on a regular basis, but it would be interesting to see.

Not much info on this new project by Dead@17 creator Josh Howard, other than this cool looking image. Sasquatch looks like it will be a compilation book using the talents of many from Viper Comics, including You’ll Have That’s Wes Molebash. We’ll update you when we have more information.

If you’re not reading “You’ll Have That”, the question is “Why the F*#@ Not?” If you haven’t heard of “You’ll Have That”, then I got nothing for you, except get over to You’ll Have That and begin reading now. You’ll Have That: Volume 1 has been out for a while, and you may still be able to find a copy at Amazon.com, and now this holiday season, you can sit by the fire roasting chestnuts and laughing yourself silly with You’ll Have That: Volume 2 from Viper Comics.
“Wes’s strip just keeps getting better and better,” said Viper Comics President Jessie Garza. “This collection has some of the best and funniest strips he has produced and having them all in one place is the perfect way to get caught up in the lives of Andy and Katie.”

You’ll Have That made its debut on the Viper Comics webpage in 2004. In that time, Wes Molebash’s semi-autobiographical webcomic has gathered a nice following. Recently I had a chance to talk with Wes about You’ll Have That, how it came about, and where it will go in the future. Yup, spoilers ahead!
