One of the best (if not the best) web comic ever produced is Joe and Monkey by Zach Miller. For nearly a year (or more) The site has floundered in hiatus-ville, causing many to ditch the site for greener pastures. Fortunately, today all that changes with a brand new 157 page story.
Today is a glorious day. Mainly because I’ve returned to Joe and Monkey after almost a year’s time. Monday’s comic is the first page of a 157 page story that spans DECADES. If all things go well it should be posted three days a week without any interruptions for the next year.
Can I get a collective WOOT! I’m so happy to see this return to my daily travels through the Intardwebz.

Once upon a time, 12 children where born at the same time to different families. They all had pale skin, lavender eyes, and mental powers above and beyond those of the normal man. As they grew up, they learned that they could do all sorts of interesting things with their powers, and they began to see the world differently.
One day, they decided to change the world, and in the process, nearly destroyed it. This is what happened next.
That is about the best introduction that I can think of for FREAKANGELS, the popular webcomic from Warren Ellis and Paul Duffield.
Editor’s Note: As promised during the most recent Major Spoilers Podcast, we have a brand new feature debuting on the site today in the form of a regular Major Spoilers web comic by our good friend Bruce Otter. Every Friday (or nearly every Friday) Bruce takes the strange bits of goings on at the Stately Spoiler Manor and turns them into humorous strips for all to enjoy.
We kick off today’s inaugural strip (although more can be found in the Major Spoilers forum) with an appearance by the newest member of the Major Spoiler Family – Victoria.
Good news for fans of the web comics Looking for Group and Least I Could Do, Lars and Sohmer are back for another round of abuse and adoration from fans at the San Diego Comic Con.
In addition to chatting and signing, we’ll have plenty of merchandise for sale including all 5 LICD Books, The first LICD: Beginnings Hardcover Book (a few copies), Frog King Plushies, LICD Recycled Tote Bags, Key Chains and an enormous amount of shirts and other wear.
To help you find them, check out the video.
I really wish other companies would crank out humorous bits like this.

I’m pretty bummed out about this news from Richard Thompson, creator of Cul de Sac.
…with this San Diego Funfest looming I feel obliged to go a little public. For the last year or so I’ve noticed a few odd symptoms; shakiness, hoarseness, silly walks, random clumsiness and the like. So the other day I went to see a neurologist and, after having me me jump through hoops, stand on my head and juggle chain saws, he said I’ve got Parkinson’s. It’s a pain in the fundament and it slows me down, but it hasn’t really affected my drawing hand at all and it’s treatable . And it could be a useful ploy in my ever-losing battle against deadlines.
If you haven’t been reading Cul de Sac, then you are really missing out on a great comic strip. We’re going to be sending positive thoughts Richard’s way.
I know, you’re comic book shop is probably closed by now, but if you have one of them fancy new 24-hour comic book shops, you might want to head on down and pick up this collected web comic series.
Press Release
IDW Publishing is proud to release the first graphic novel collection of the award winning webcomic and acclaimed IDW miniseries The Dreamer by creator and author Lora Innes. A romantic and rich story told with well-researched historical detail, The Dreamer has been honored with two Harvey Award nominations for “Best New Series” and “Best New Talent,” plus a nomination for the Web Cartoonists’ Choice Award for “Outstanding Newcomer Comic” in 2008.
Equal parts 21st-century teenage slice-of-life tale and 18th-century adventure, The Dreamer tells the story of seventeen-year-old Beatrice Whaley, a student who begins having vivid dreams about a brave and handsome soldier in the chaos of the American Revolution. Prone to keeping her head in the clouds, Bea welcomes her nightly adventures, but it is not long before Beatrice questions whether her adventures are simply dreams… or something more.
