It’s been a while since we’ve featured a Marvel Comics sneak peek (hint, hint Marvel), but the company sent us a sneak peek of Ultimate Comics X #2 that arrives in stores April 7, 2010 that you can read after the jump.
What you didn’t realize from the previous posts was that there was a fifth member hiding in the background.
Okay, it’s time for you to burn up the comment section with your reactions to Ultimate X.

February 18, 2009 will wrap up the Ultimate X-Men series with issue #100. The same day sees the end of Ultimate Fantastic Four which had a mildly interesting 60-issue run. The end of the series ties directly into Ultimatum from Marvel, which seems to be hell-bent on destroying the Ultimate Universe that spawned the whole Marvel Zomibe craze. I’ve done a little digging, but after the last round of solicitations from Marvel, I’m more convinced all of Ultimate U is ending when Ultimate Spider-Man reaches issue #133.

If you’ve read the latest issue of Ultimatum #2, you know that someone else on the list got his neck broken on the last page. Let’s see, Wasp starts with W, and what letter comes after W?
The $3.99 issue is still on sale, and is worth checking out if you are even remotely familiar with the characters in the Ultimate Universe.

Guess I missed that bit – must have happened in Ultimate X-Men, because it didn’t happen in Ultimatum #1.
Marvel sent its own Top 5 list to Major Spoilers, letting everyone know why you must read Ultimatum.

I especially like number 1 – FOREVER! (until the next big event). Is anyone else tired of that phrase’s overuse? I also like number 5, as it means no more annoying Mary Jane… or does it? I half expect that to mean everyone will become mutants.
Ultimatum #1 arrives November 5, 2008, and features a cover price of $3.99.

Marvel Comics has announced fans of the Ultimate Universe can read the March on Ultimatum Saga #1 for “free” on the Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited site.

I find it interesting that in order to read this “free” book, you have to sign up for an account, which requires you to pay for a monthly or yearly fee. Your best bet is to head to your LCS and see if the owner has any free copies left over from last week.
