More of the same isn’t always a good thing
We are now officially month into DC’s year long Trinity event. Issue 4 proves Superman is the saviour, Wonder Woman wants victims to save themselves, and Batman can still scare the crap out of people.

Three weeks in, and readers have been subjected to strange dreams, mystical attacks, and an attack from outer space. When a space convict lands on the planet and starts wrecking havoc, who do you call? The Trinity? You’d be surprised how many times they appear in this installment.
Challenge of the super friends
Oh boy! Another weekly series from DC! While that exclamation may send shivers up and down the spines of those who struggled through Countdown (to Final Crisis), I have higher hopes for Trinity. Busiek has proven he can tell brilliant super hero stories, and Bagley’s art is always top notch, but does the second issue hold up to the first?

DC’s new weekly series TRINITY explodes in an extra-sized debut issue featuring art by fan-favorite Mark Bagley (Ultimate Spider-Man) and Art Thibert with lead stories and dialogue by Kurt Busiek (SUPERMAN, ASTRO CITY)!
The lead feature explores the unusual bond — and importance — of DC’s top three characters, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, as a mysterious dream links them together and may prophesy important changes in their trinity!
I’m hoping Trinity is a much different weekly than either Countdown or 52. 52 was great as it was a self contained story, but the “back bone of the DC Universe” that was supposed to be Countdown just didn’t work for me.
What are you more interested in; Trinity or Final Crisis with all its tie-ins?
DC has announced the Kurt Busiek/Mark Bagley Trinity series will debut with 40-pages instead of the normal 22, while still keeping the $2.99 price.
