I’m sure it isn’t a literal ton of toys - well, maybe it is, I haven’t weighed the average action figure lately - in any case, Hasbro as announced several new toy lines at the San Diego Comic-Con.
I don’t have any awesome cool pictures, but if you are at the show and stop by the Hasbro booth, take a few snaps for us, won’t you?

The figure that everyone has been asking for for the last three years is finally getting made. Mattel has told Action Figure Insider that it will be unveiling the JLU Question this week at San Diego. Head over to the ACI site to see the full image, it looks great!
Now if only the company had made a Renee Montoya figure from the Batman Animated Series, the grooviness would be complete.

I’m in the process of cleaning out the Major Spoilers Toy Closet (something that is taking forever). The toy collection goes back nearly 20 years and contains a variety of figures (some are for sale), and I’m constantly amazed at the number of different styles a particular character can take.
This brings me to…

Yes, take the jump and see all the Darkseid incarnations.

Hey Everybody!
I’m sorry for the obvious AD placed right here, but there comes a time in every person’s life, when it is time to give up a little something to keep something bigger and better (this site) going.
I’m clearing out space in the Major Spoilers Comic Book Room and am selling a huge portion of my Simpsons action figure collection.
If you are fan of the Simpsons, and want to help a brother out - check the auctions after the jump.

Series 23 will contain several two-packs featuring characters taken from the past twenty years of Marvel history. Nova will be paired with Gamora, Cloak will team up with Dagger and the Spymaster will take on War Machine in this all-star lineup. The variant War Machine featuring Jim Rhodes will also be available as a limited chase figure.
With the ongoing success of the Amazing Spider-Man, it was only a matter of time before his villains got their due as Minimates! Series 24 will feature two-packs consisting of Spider-Man & Shocker, Cosmic Spider-Man & Transformation Venom, “Back in Black” Spider-Man & Kraven and the limited Tarantula variant. Additional pieces will also be included for transforming Transformation Venom into Eddie Brock and each Spider-Man into Peter Parker.

Diamond Select Toys has announced the online retailer Big Bad Toy Store will be the exclusive distributor of the Marvel Select Red Hulk. While the sculpt is similar to the green golliath, the head change and paint job set this figure off from the rest.
Fresh from his debut in Hulk #1, this mysterious mayhem-making menace has just begun his assault on the Gamma-powered individuals of the Marvel Universe and he’s shown no signs of slowing! As with the upcoming Marvel Select Hulk figure, the Red Hulk stands approximately ten inches tall and features multiple points of articulation as well as a rubble-heavy base.
Pre-orders are being accepted now for the figure that will ship in the fall. The figure is a tad pricey at $24, but it also stands 10-inches high.

The Invaders are set to make an appearance at the San Diego Comic Con in a big way. Or rather, a small way, in the form of an exclusive set of Minimates.
Featuring the four most famous members of the all-star Invaders team, this set includes Steve Rogers as Captain America, James Buchanan Barnes as Bucky, Prince Namor as the Sub-Mariner and Jim Hammond as the original Human Torch! These legendary heroes were instrumental in the defeat of the Axis powers in WWII and will appear throughout 2008 in the aptly-titled Avengers/Invaders limited series.

I like that there are multiple costume and accessory items to configure your heroes the way you like.
Now I’m really sad I’m not going to the show this year. Oh well, there’s always eBay…

Okay, so it is more like the Kara clone Galatea from the Justice League Unlimited, but it is probably the closest thing we’re going to get to a JLU figure based on the busty heroine.
There are a lot more photos of the new JLU figures (including Captain Atom and a well done Giganta) over at Action Figure Insider.
All of the photos were taken by con attendees, which reminds me; Did anyone go to the show and want to share their photos? Contact Stephen Schleicher and we’ll get them up for all to see.

EW.com has the first images of the Watchmen action figures based on the upcoming Zack Snyder movie from Warner Bros.
The figures look spectacular, I just hope they are truly action figures instead of nicely molded pieces of plastic that end up as inexpensive maquettes for those who can’t afford the real deal.
If you happen to be in New York and are attending the New York Comic Con, DC Direct will unveil the first four prototypes on Friday, April 18.
BTW: Both figures will arrive in stores in January 2009 with a price tag of $14.99.
