The movie opened strong this weekend, and even though Terminator: Salvation referenced all of the other movies that came before it, I liked it.

It did bring up the question of what Terminator model is everyone’s favorite?  Is it the classic Arnold T-800 (101/805) model, the T-1000, or the Terminatrix?  Now’s your chance to cast your vote!

The latest installment of the Terminator frranchise arrived in theaters this weekend, bringing in $13 million on the Thursday early opening.  I took the time to see it on Friday afternoon, and it wasn’t awful.

What did you think?  Did Terminator: Salvation live up to your expectations, or did if fail miserably?

The big Terminator movie hits theaters this weekend, and it prompted the Major Spoilers Crew to sit back and think about our impending doom.  Today, we thought we’d present to you, Dear Reader, the definitive list of robots and androids who could actually bring down the T-800 series.    It’s a scientifically calculated list that can not be challenged, due to the intense nature of the work that went into making this list a reality (we said with tongue firmly in cheek).

We’ve only seen previews of the upcoming Terminator Salvation flick, and while it looks good, the fifth film is already in the works.

When Anderson and Kubicek acquired the rights the lucrative “Terminator” franchise last year from previous owners C2, the former ad exec and banker envisaged the re-booted series as a trilogy. Christian Bale has signed on in the role of John Connor for all three roles. Newest pic is tentatively skedded for a 2011 release.

The duo had originally planned to wait until the release of “Terminator Salvation” next summer before deciding on whether to proceed with the next chapter, but the positive studio, fan and media reaction to footage from the current pic has encouraged them to move forward ahead of schedule.

The announcement was made at the Dubai International Film Festival, and it was hinted the movie migh take place in the Middle East.

It’s interesting that the exec producers are giving the go ahead to a movie based on positive response to trailers and such.  I’ve seen some really awesome trailers in my day, but when the film is released it stinks to high heaven. Considering Bale has signed for all three movies, it’s a pretty good sign the film is actually good.

Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming Terminator Salvation movie. Looks pretty good, and even features what looks like a giant Transformer kicking ass at the end. I knew they’d be the reason behind society’s down fall.
