Nick Cannon is getting ready to start a Josie and the Pussycats project, that will take him and Atlantic Records around the world looking for three girls who can sing (and probably look good in a pussycat outfit, too) to resurrect the band based on the Archie Comics characters.
If all goes the way Cannon hopes it will, we could see a reality competition series, and a scripted comedy-drama that will air on the TeenNick channel.
I’ll let you take a moment to organize your thoughts, then feel free to jump into the comment section and let your thoughts be known.

There’s a brand new superhero show out of England called Misfits, and after watching the pilot, it looks like it could be the next Heroes.
The series follows a gang of five young oddballs serving community service orders who, after being caught in a freak electrical storm, find themselves saddled with strange superpowers.

A bunch of sites found these images over the holiday weekend, but it looks like most are attributing the source to Entertainment Weekly, so we’ll go with that. If you were wondering what some of the other characters from the upcoming Smallville: Absolute Justice were going to look like, here you go:

Gotta say, I’m loving the Doctor Fate costume, and Stargirl doesn’t look half bad either. And for those who are desperately searching for more Hawkman images, here’s a bonus shot.

The good news for V fans is the series looks to have found its following, as the final installment of the alien invasion series was able to match last week’s viewership of 9.2 million viewers. While ABC’s publicity machine won’t confirm the show’s return in the Spring, the teaser spot at the episode’s conclusion should keep everyone’s hopes up.
Marvel sent Major Spoilers a video bio of The Falcon from The Super Hero Squad Show currently running on Cartoon Network.
Falcon
Falcon flies with wings made of “hard light” (a solid type of hologram). He’s upgraded them with Stark-built “feathers” that shoot out as projectiles. Falcon communicates telepathically with birds, particularly his pet falcon REDWING. He can even “see” through their eyes, which comes in handy when the team needs recon. The original adrenaline junkie, Falcon loves anything that moves fast, flies high or causes severe motion sickness. Passionate and optimistic at 17, he’s a born hot-dogger who’s finally made it to the big leagues. Beneath his jokester persona, he’s got a lot to prove.
Falcon’s going to figure out, over time, that he’s as powerful a hero as any and it’s got nothing to do with how much he can bench-press (260, if you must know). The others are going to learn that his tactical judgement is approaching that of his mentor, Cap.
Falcon and the other Squaddies: Iron Man asked the Falcon to join at Captain America’s suggestion. Cap trained the Falcon and knows what potential the impetuous speedster has. Falcon also loves nothing better than a good prank, whether it’s gluing Wolverine’s boots to the floor or covering the sleeping Hulk with temporary tattoos. Mornings on the Helicarrier frequently begin with a huge roar and a big green fist coming through Falcon’s wall. It’s a good thing he can fly fast. In spite of Wolverine’s repeated threats to turn Redwing into a squab dinner, the truth is that everyone in the Squad is kind of attached to the quirky bird, and even Wolverine has been caught sneaking him extra snacks.
In battle, Falcon provides the team’s SPEED FACTOR.

Last week’s 27% tumble was somewhat expected for ABC’s new “V” mini-series, but the execs have to be cringing a bit this morning when the numbers came in that show the invading space alien remake took another hit, dropping an additional 18% from the previous week. This equates to an audience size of 9.3 million, which isn’t bad as it earned the show a fifth place ranking for the night.
For those wanting a comparison, “The Biggest Loser” was able to attract 9.4 million viewers for second place, while NCIS brought in 20 million viewers to take the top spot. Even with Laura Vandervoort, with these tumbling numbers, will the series make it past those shows already in the can?

The CW is joining the two part Justice Society episode into one long two hour movie called Smallville: Absolute Justice. There’s no word if the episode will sell in a hardcover slipcase with a $75 price tag, but it will feature a feathered Hawkman winging around.
Penned by comic book hero Geoff Johns, “Society” marks the arrival of Justice Society members Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and Stargirl.
To accommodate the movie, Smallville: Absolute Justice has been moved from January 29 to February 5, 2010.
Marvel sent Major Spoilers a video profile of The Hulk from the Super Hero Squad Show on the Cartoon Network.
shs bioclip hulk revised
Hulk
Hulk’s a monster first, lovable second, childlike never. He’s the strongest Squadder, and the simplest, with major anger issues. When something sets him off, he becomes a tower of rage, ready to smash anything and everything in sight. Handy in a battle, but less helpful when it’s his turn to do the dishes. In such cases, it can take every member of the Squad to calm him. He can also be a bull in a china shop, walking through doors without opening them (or even walls). His rages on the Helicarrier frequently end with a hole in the ship’s foot-thick hull, and an angry green figure plummeting to the ground before bounding back.
Hulk and the other Squaddies: When not tearing locomotives in two, Hulk can be the most good-natured member of the Squad, pausing to pick a flower or pet a kitten (without being childish). Hulk’s version of “grabbing a snack” means tearing off the refrigerator door, holding the fridge aloft and emptying it into his mouth. Because of his simplicity and gullibility, Hulk is the butt of Wolverine’s wisecracks and the target of Falcon’s pranks. Iron Man feels protective of him and tries to help Hulk control his awesome temper. But Tony needs to stop building weapons and vehicles for Hulk; the ones he can operate at all, he breaks. Still, Tony keeps at it, creating enough Hulk add-ons to fill a… an endcap, actually. Hulk is inspired by Tony Stark and thinks he can be an inventor too. He puts a bunch of junk together (like a toaster and a boot) and celebrates his invention (the toaster boot). His teammates are speechless. But you never know; the toaster boot might actually come in handy.
Hulk’s gift of gab is limited, but succinct. He calls Falcon “Bird,” Wolverine “Claw,” the Surfer “Shiny,” etc. He thinks like a monster, so he doesn’t always put two and two together: He believes the Falcon is a bird, and will occasionally stuff birdseed down Falcon’s throat. He thinks Redwing is Falcon’s offspring: “Bird has baby bird! Cuute!” So as much as Falcon’s pranks bother Hulk, he does have his own innocent form of payback. And while Hulk likes to “smash,” he has a strong sense of justice. Hulk needs to learn to curb his anger and value his sensitive side. Or go play with a tire.
Naturally, Hulk supplies the team’s supreme STRENGTH FACTOR.
Guess who hooks up in the next episode of Super Hero Squad Show? The image above should give you a hint. If you need more clues on this week’s episode, take the jump.

After a huge debut, the alien remake finds itself in trouble once more as the second episode ratings fell nearly 30% from the week before.
The second “V” hour was seen by 10.7 million viewers and drew a 3.8 rating among adults 18-49, down 27% from last week. That’s the largest fall from a premiere we’ve seen for a scripted show this season.
While the numbers are nothing to sneeze at, NCIS, which has been on for a number of years, landed back at the top spot once again. Also, execs and pundits expected the viewer loss in the second week, but with only two more episodes before the series goes on an extended break, if the last two showings continue to fall, viewers may be wondering where the alien visitors disappeared to.
