Devil’s Playground, the L.A. based burlesque group, put on a rather different show for fans of the art. This isn’t the first time, the troupe has pulled the Star Warz theme out of their… well…

This new show is playing at the Music Box in Hollywood.
Yup, you can take that hot poker to your eyes now.

Were you at a convention this weekend? Did you take a crap ton of pictures? Send ‘em our way, and we’ll share them with the world.
When I saw this video appear before my eyes last week, I didn’t know whether I should laugh, cry, or dig my eyes out of their socket with a rusty spoon. Regardless, it’s just good enough to make it into our Friday Sing-Along.

I feel sorry for Jessica, I really do. I don’t know if it’s because of the potential stalker nature of this letter, or because of the subtle way the person writing this letter is telling Jessica she needs to lose a few pounds. Really? You’re going to compare the love of your life to a Tauntaun?
And speaking of stalker-y movies, here’s the trailer for Twilight: Eclipse.
Now there is no way you’ll make it through your day without a weird twitch in your eye.
I know, I’m sorry. I’m gonna burn in heck-land for this…
I love these stop motion LEGO movies, especially when they are so well done. Click the play button and prepare to pick your jaw up off the floor.
I made this as part of an animation challenge on bricksinmotion.com. The goal was to make the coolest lightsaber duel possible.
The lightsaber and blaster effects were done in Photoshop.
Anyone who’s been to LEGOLand knows that there are some great LEGO creations out there. For Star Wars fans, this near life sized interpretation of Han Solo frozen in carbonite by Nathan Sawaya, takes the cake.
Wanting do a Star Wars model, and also wanting to do something never been done before (to my knowledge), I decided to make Han Solo frozen in carbonite. Life size. It took about 10,000 bricks, almost all dark gray, and about three months of on and off building. I built the sculpture so it can break down easily into smaller parts, thus making it mobile. Because, like most people, I like to take large sculptures of people frozen in carbonite with me whenever I travel.
Hasbro was kind enough to send Major Spoilers a couple boxes of action figures including some pretty sweet Star Wars figures to give away. And since we just don’t give stuff away without requiring some amount of work, it’s time for another Major Spoilers Contest!
All you have to do is call the Major Spoilers hotline at 785 727-1939 and record your best Yoda impression talking about Major Spoilers. No imitations of Grover, no Miss Piggy, no Fozzie Bear. Just Yoda.
We’re going to give these action figures to the four best callers, so don’t delay, this contest closes March 9, 2010 at 12:00 PM CST.
NOTE: Because of the expense of shipping overseas, this contest is only open to residents of the United States of America. Sorry about that. We do have more contests coming up for everyone world wide.
Of course you do.
It looks totally awesome, but at $99 I’m in a dilemma as I can spend the money on this giant plaything and hope my son will play nice with my original Star Wars figure, or I can spend the money on some half-clothed statue, that does nothing…
Check out this Lightsaber Flashmob in Bristol’s Cabot Circus this past weekend.
I think the gauntlet has been thrown down.

Duchess Satine Kryze tries to keep the Republic from interfering in Mandalorian affairs after attacks by the Death Watch, the splinter group advocating a return to the old warrior ways. But when Satine herself is attacked and framed, she sets off – against the better judgment of her Jedi protectors – to uncover the full breadth of the conspiracy and the faction’s true origins. No longer content to operate from the fringes, the mysterious Mandalorian Death Watch sets its sights on the “Duchess of Mandalore” in an all-new episode of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS airing at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT Friday, February 12 on Cartoon Network.

Dark Horse Comics has announced a brand new Star Wars universe series called “Star Wars: Knight Errant”.
Set one thousand years before Episode I, in a time referred to as the “Dark Age of the Republic,” this story takes place in an era when the Sith were legion and the Republic was strained to the breaking point, leaving large swaths of the galaxy with no one to turn to. This pivotal time in the history of Star Wars has been largely unexplored, until now.
The series will be written by John Jackson Miller, who will introduce readers to a new female Jedi and her realization that she plays an important role in the galaxy. Additionally, fans of prose Star Wars books will be interested to know that Miller will also be writing a novel based on this series that will include the same cast of characters in an original adventure.
“There’s such wonderful chaos going on in the galaxy in this period,” said writer John Jackson Miller. “More than a generation before Darth Bane introduced the Rule of Two, Sith Lords are colliding not just with the Republic, but with each other. Kerra’s going to find that good intentions just may not be enough in a galaxy gone mad! This is a wide-open area to explore, and I’m thrilled that Dark Horse and Del Rey have given me this opportunity to do so.”
Star Wars: Knight Errant is scheduled to arrive this fall.

eFX has announced it will be selling a limited edition Darth Vader helmet based on the original concept sketches by Ralph McQuarrie.
Affectionately dubbed “McVader” by developers at eFX, the helmet was created from one of those original concept sketches – chosen by McQuarrie – and brought to life by digital sculptor Jay Kushwara exclusively for eFX. “He’s captured the true sinister essence of the Darth Vader that Ralph McQuarrie envisioned in his original sketch,” said Bryan Ono, president of eFX, which also produces limited-edition, collectible replicas inspired by classic Disney movies and by Star Trek.
The three piece helmet is limited to 250 units. If you want to get in on this piece of coolness, you’ll need to queue up bright and early Monday morning (February 8, 2010) at the eFX site. Oh, you’ll also want to bring your big checkbook as the McVader will sell for $899.
