Last year it was all about the DC pantheon of heroes, this year, the United States Postal Service pays homage to Marvel characters in a new collection of stamps being unveiled Thursday at the San Diego Comic-Con.
I went out an purchased a full sheet last year, and will do the same with the Marvel stamps first thing Friday morning.
The 41-cent stamps include Sub-Mariner, The Thing, Captain America, the Silver Surfer, Spider-Woman, Elektra, Wolverine, and everyone’s favorite wall crawlers Spider-Man.
The other 10 stamps depict classic Marvel Comic book covers linked to the super heroes. Information about the artwork shown on each stamp appears on the back on the stamp pane.
Don’t wait until tomorrow, take the jump to see all the stamps in one place.
The United States Postal Service unveiled the commemorative DC superhero stamp collection last week at the San Diego Comic Con. The 1st day of issue stamps were available at the convention, but Friday morning post offices around the country began selling the 20 stamp collection.
