Wednesday, March 19th, 2008--by Stephen Schleicher

rosario.jpgAlso revealed at Tuesday night’s upfront presentation is the Rosario Dawson produced pilot, True Believer.  Dawson has been hired to produce the pilot episode that could be turned into a series that follows a comic nerd who hires a former superhero to teach him the ropes on fighting crime.

Dawson is exec producer, and her co-author on the Image Comics book “Occult Crimes Task Force,” David Atchinson, will write the script of “Believer” with Matthew Spradlin and Tom Feister.

Fans of the Sin City star shouldn’t get too excited, Dawson isn’t expected to star in the show as of this report.

Start Your Engines

Thursday, November 9th, 2006--by Stephen Schleicher

rosario.jpgI’m not really interested in posting celebrity gossip, unless it is really good and relates to comics in some way.  Well, horny fan boys have two reasons to rejoice this week.  First it was Britney and K’fed, now Occult Crimes Taskforce’s Rosarrio Dawson has reportedly split with her beau Jason Lewis.

Star Magazine is reporting the two went their separate ways on November 3rd.

“They’re being very private about why they broke up,” says a source, “but they are for sure broken up.”

Their publicist, Meredith O’Sullivan, had “no comment” for Star when asked to confirm the split.

Rosario, who became famous for playing Colin Farrell’s exotic lover in Alexander — and then was rumored to be his real-life lover too — met Jason, best known for starring on Sex and the City as Samantha’s boytoy, at Vin Diesel’s birthday party in July 2004.

Comic fans know Rossario not only from Occult Crimes Taskforce, but also as Gail from Sin City, Laura Vasquez in Men in Black II, and Becky in Kevin Smith’s Clerks 2.
