Oh man, talk about opening mouth and inserting foot. This lead to all sorts of reactions including this well thought out post by Jeph Jacques, which ultimately lead to Mr. Swaab issuing a public apology.
Oh and hey, those webcomic things have a bunch of panels at the New York Comic Con, featuring many of those webcomic gurus featured in the image above.

I love days when Major Spoilers has sneak peeks of upcoming issues. It gives me a chance to get pumped up over issues that will be arriving in my mail sometime in the next seven days. This week Image Comics delivers up a heaping helping of Charlatan Ball #4, Hawaiian Dick #5, Hyperkinetic #3, PVP #41, and The Roberts #2.

It’s Thursday and that can only mean one thing – my latest article over at SciFi.com is up. No wait, this isn’t one of those tech blogs Sneak Peeks from Image Comics! This week the fine folks from Image have provided Major Spoilers with previews of Casanova Volume 1, Coyote Volume 5, Dynamo 5 #3, Fell Volume 1: Feral City, Loaded Bible 2: Blood of Christ, Madman Atomic Comics #2, and PvP #33.
Holy cow! This is the biggest Sneak Peek of the Week to date and it looks like there is something for everyone buried inside.
Image Comics has provided Major Spoilers with two sneak peeks this week. First up is PvP collecting some of the funniest strips from Scott Kurtz. The other preview comes from The Complete Invincible Library Vol. 1. This is the collection that should have shipped at Christmas time, but because of issues with the printer, it had to be delayed.
Scott Kurtz has posted infor about his appearance at the 2007 San Diego Comic Con. We already posted info on who are honored guests, but Scott is taking it a step further and getting his own booth.
We’re going to have our own booth (we won’t be set up with Image) and we are planning to make it our biggest splash in San Diego ever. We can spend more on the booth and stuff since we don’t have to worry about paying for airline tickets and hotel rooms.
It’s a real honor and we’re very excited about next year. We’ve been planning San Diego 2007 since before San Diego 2006 even started.
2007 is going to be wicked cool, guys.

Scott Kurtz, the genius behind PvP, kind of participated in the 24 Hour Comic Book Day. I say kind of, because he did take a break to go home and sleep before continuing. In years past, he workd on PvP strips only.
So this year, I was up for about 10 hours, went home and slept, then got up and returned to the store to hang out for another 4-5 hours. I didn’t get as much done, but I’m much happier this year for having taken the break.
This year he made an attempt at doing a long Batman story. In 12 panels, he pretty much sums up Batman’s anger in the story “My Parents are Dead”.
I like Kurtz’s styling of Batman, and wonder what he would have come up with had he had a long time to dwell on it. Regardless, me likey… It is too bad, DC ended their run on Solo, would have been fun to see what Scott would have come up with.
