Marvel has announced Dark Reign: The List – Punisher is going back to press with a variant cover by Steve Dillon. The reprint arrives in stores December 2, 2009.

The Punisher Annual #1 arrives at the end of the month, and things don’t look good for Frank – especially when you take a gander at the Tom Raney Rest in Pieces variant cover.
Today, Marvel released a bit more information on yesterday’s FrankenCastle promotion piece, along with another image.

Beginning with Punisher #8, don’t miss four special Rest In Pieces Variants, all clues to the startling changes ahead for the Punisher!

Marvel Comics has teamed up with Eminem and XXL magazine to celebrate his anticipated upcoming album Relapse with an all-new story featuring the renowned rapper and Marvel’s notorious vigilante, The Punisher, in Eminem/Punisher: Kill You.
Back from a three-year hiatus, Eminem is set to grace two XXL covers posing as The Punisher for the magazine’s June issue on stands May 5, two weeks before his fifth solo album, Relapse, hits stores May 19.
A special collector’s edition, the magazine also includes the first part of an exclusive collaboration between XXL, Shady and Marvel Comics — Eminem/Punisher: Kill You — a special edition Punisher comic book starring Eminem and created by Marvel Comics.

With Norman Osborn in charge, Frank Castle has taken it upon himself to bring the nut-job down. Only things didn’t go so well, and his plan was interrupted. The first issue of the new Punisher series sold out at Diamond (all together now – “But Copies May Still Be Available at Your Local Comic Shop”), prompting Marvel to go back to press.

The polystone statues from Sideshow Collectibles have been really great these last couple of years. I’ve picked up a few by Adam Hughes, and have been extremely pleased with the size, price, and details. The latest polystone diorama features The Punisher and Daredevil going at it.
The latest addition to Sideshow’s line of Marvel collectibles is the Punisher VS Daredevil Diorama. This outstanding diorama is cast in heavy-weight, high-quality polystone, then hand-finished and hand-painted to exacting standards. Each piece is individually hand-numbered, then packaged in a durable foam shipping interior and beautiful full color box. The Punisher VS Daredevil Diorama is the perfect addition to any collector’s display.
The diorama should ship in the second quarter of 2009.
More photos after the jump.

As cool as some of the scenes from the new Punisher movie looked, the movie flopped at the box office this past weekend, bringing in an estimated $4 million. To twist the knife even deeper, this opening was even worse than Howard the Duck – another Marvel property that has become a joke of the movie industry.
For those worried that this is a death knell for Marvel, keep in mind this movie is not a Marvel Studios flick, but rather release by Lionsgate, who probably shot themselves in the foot by releasing Transporter 3 last weekend.
Anyone see this?

Marvel has announced those signed up with the Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited plan can read the Punisher Saga for free, as a primer for the Punisher’s new series.
