It’s not really a song about superheroes, but the person who posted it on YouTube did do a pretty good job of editing the Flash clips into something that matched.  Plus it’s got a funky beat.

These kind of remixes always crack me up, especially when tied to a rockin’ song. Sing-along, won’t you?

We like World of Warcraft.  We like Felicia Day.  We like The Guild. We like music. Throw all these in a blender, set it to blend, then pour it into a non-tip child safe container, and toss it up on YouTube, and you end up with The Guild’s Do You Wanna Date My Avatar.

Poor Peter Parker.  Here’s Weird Al Yankovic with his Ode to a Superhero.

This week is a bit harder than most of the songs we feature during the Friday Sing-along, but it’s pretty rockin’ and does fit with the who superhero theme.

This is not the first time something like this has been done, and I always get a kick out of a live concert performance matching up with media.  I did something like this with my university orchestra back when I was in college, and have been hooked ever since, so Star Wars getting in on the deal is a win/win for me.

From the Press Release

Star WarsTM: In Concert, a unique multi-media event featuring music from all six of John Williams’ epic Star Wars scores, begins its worldwide arena tour on October 1, 2009 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Narrated live by Anthony Daniels (the actor who portrayed C-3PO in all six films), the production features a full symphony orchestra and choir, accompanied by specially edited footage from the films displayed on a three-story-tall, high-definition LED super-screen – one of the largest ever put on tour.  The live music and film elements are synchronized in order to create a full multi-media, one-of-kind Star Wars experience.

No comic convention is going to keep us from serving up our regularly schedule dose of Major Spoilers goodness to all our readers and fans.  And for those of you who are at the con and need something to get you going this morning, how ’bout you get the blood pumping with The Ramones Spider-Man theme song?

What do you get when you take an illegal bootleg movie that features, Batman, Robin, the Penguin, and “the Joker”, a dancing midget in a Spider-Man suit, and a bunch of other randomness?  A bonus Major Spoilers Friday Sing-along.

AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!  IT BURNS! IT BURNS!

It’s just so bizarre, the hypnotic melody and gyrations, had me watching this at least three more times before my mind exploded and I blacked out.

I can’t believe it is Friday already, as things really flew by.  Regardless, it’s that time of the week you all look forward to, your Friday sing-along.  Get up, stretch, and rock out with R.E.M.

Some of you might know this song – I certainly do not, but the sheer work and skill that went into making this video fills me with awe.

This music video was shot for Sour’s ‘Hibi no Neiro’ (Tone of everyday) from their first mini album ‘Water Flavor EP’. The cast were selected from the actual Sour fan base, from many countries around the world. Each person and scene was filmed purely via webcam.

This week we’re presenting a brand new song – a theme song – for Marvel’s Runaways series.  Vocals are by Marvel editor Nick Lowe.

Still a little shocked over the Michael Jackson death yesterday.  Got me thinking how many of Jackson’s songs were hits and are still popular today, even when he declined credit for the work. Here’s one of my favorite Simpson’s songs.

Damn, I almost forgot about this. Let’s get our groove on, on this wonderful Friday.

And yes, I realize there isn’t much singing for you to sing along to, but comeon, you know you want to sass out the name Spider-Man…ha-ha-ha in all the right places.

Takin’ it back to the good ol’ days this week. Sing-along won’t you?
