Olivia Munn continues to do anything and everything to try and capture my attention in hopes that I will feature her on this site – even for a moment. Somehow she has managed to not only make it on the site, but to also land in our weekly Friday Sing-Along.
Nerf Herder frontman Parry Gripp celebrates Attack of the Show’s 1000th episode with a very special music video featuring Olivia Munn as the Video Game Girl, and Kevin Pereira on drums!
Pop culture, humor, video games, and music. They all eventually come together in a fun song, which is why this feature has been running for as long as it has.
Halloween may have been last week, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. This week we’re getting you to sing-along to Hoobastank’s cover of Ghostbusters, one of those classic songs that pretty much gets everyone in the car to sing along. Unless you are my two-year-old son, in which case he cries until everyone stops.
I’ve mentioned before that I’m learning the ukulele, and YouTube is a perfect place to find lessons and tutorials on playing the instrument. I’ve almost nailed the Spider-Man theme song, and it’s all thanks to this installment of the Friday Sing-Along. If you play the uke, this installment is a perfect combo of singing and learning.
Towson University’s TIGER Marching Band performing Yoko Kanno’s “Tank!” at Johnny Unitas Stadium during the Homecoming halftime show on Oct. 17, 2009 (vs. Delaware).
We’ve featured Kirby Krackle on the Friday Sing-along, and they crank out some good nerd-rock music including this little ditty about a trip to a comic convention.
If you are a fan of the Major Spoilers Podcast, you know I’ve raved about how great the Dr. Horrible Sing-Along-Blog series was went it launched way back when. Some of you also know, I’ve fallen in love with learning to play the Ukulele. So imagine how tickled I was to find the Ukulele version of My Freeze Ray done up nicely.
Claudio Sanchez, the celebrated creator of the COHEED AND CAMBRIA mythology, including the best selling sci-fi mini-series, THE AMORY WARS, is back with an entirely new concept: KILL AUDIO! KILL AUDIO follows the adventures of an immortal little troll who struggles to find purpose in a land where creativity is a controlled substance. When musical creativity spirals into chaos, KILL AUDIO discovers his life mission. Supported by a wildly eccentric posse and a nemesis hell-bent on proving his mortality, KILL AUDIO takes on non-sensical musical sub-genres while traipsing across a vivid landscape, all of which could only come from the intense mind of Claudio Sanchez.
I know we ran a fan created video of Robbert Bobbert’s We R Superheroes a few months ago, but it is one of my favorite songs currently playing on the kids channel of my satellite radio station. Between Miley and Spongebob, this is one of the few songs that keeps me sane on the drive to work/daycare in the morning. This time, instead of a fan created vid, we have the full on official video that features an impressive lineup of creators.
Take the jump for the credit list!
Take the popular Marvel Zombies, mix them with classic cartoon theme songs of yester-year and you end up with this week’s Friday Sing-Along.
Take the jump for Part 2!
I’m sure the Disney/Marvel deal is still fresh on many people’s minds, which means there’s still plenty of time to poke the open wound on those that feel put off, with today’s Friday Sing-Along.
Leave it up to It’s Just Some Random Guy, to not only make us giggle with glee, but also put music to it.
I was listening to the Kids Place Live channel on Sirius XM this morning – hey, it’s the only station to listen to when my son is in the car – when someone called in and asked to hear the Incredible Hulk theme song. The announcer said there wasn’t one, and proceeded to play Batman instead.
Here’s proof The Hulk has a theme song. It’s a terrible theme song, but then again, it’s from the 60’s.
It’s not really a song about superheroes, but the person who posted it on YouTube did do a pretty good job of editing the Flash clips into something that matched. Plus it’s got a funky beat.
These kind of remixes always crack me up, especially when tied to a rockin’ song. Sing-along, won’t you?
Those Funny or Die folk are pretty good at whipping up the funny, and they must have some deep pockets to get the celebs on board for this G.I. Joe video.
