You expected a super-sized image? This IS a Minimate. And a Minimate that looks pretty awesome at that. The Mark V Iron Man figures ships in a two back with War Machine.

It’s been a while since I’ve added any Minimates to my massive collection, and these two just might find their way into the pile.

Diamond Select Toys has unveiled the Iron Man 2 Minimate line, and for those who are wanting a different look at the characters and suits coming in the flick, should take the jump now.

If you’ve been wondering when the next round of Minimate zombies will hit stores, wait no longer as you can make your own with Zombie Decal Kit from Luke’s Toy Store. The kit is designed for the 24 Season 1 Box Set and the Biff and Marty Back to the Future Minimates sets, but you can use any Minimate parts to design your own.
Also, if you would prefer to combine your own parts, all of the decals have also been designed to work with popular color minimate parts as an alternative to using these Minimate sets. The choice is up to you!
Included in this kit:
- 6 full zombie decals, and an additional 6 zombie faces
- Duplicate set of decals in case you make a mistake with the first set
- Detailed application instructions
- Battle damage instructions
Zomibe Superman is just around the corner…
Part of the new vehicle collection for the Minimate line now includes a DeLorean from Back to the Future series.
Two versions of this little guy are coming to stores and we’ve gotten lots of requests to show more photography – so here’s the “clean” version for Toys R Us!
There will be figures included with each car to make the collection complete.

One of the biggest problems with any action figure toy line is the lack of other things for your figures to interact with. Sure you may have Superman, Spider-Man, and that 12-inch Mego Fonzie that get along swimmingly with your cardboard box rendition of the Hall of Justice, but what happens when your action figures need to get from here to there? Minimates have been one of those toy lines that have a lot of playability when it comes to replaying your favorite story lines from the comic book pages, but additional playsets and vehicles are really needed to enhance play.
Art Asylum has announced it will grant our wishes with a vehicle line debuting in the spring 2010.
The first three rides to be included in this exciting line will be Back to the Future’s post-time-travel Frozen DeLorean, Terminator 2’s devastating Battle Damaged Hunter Killer Tank and a Minimates debut – the Minimates M.A.X. Red Stealth Jet! Fans should be familiar with those first two, while the Minimates M.A.X. (Mobile Action Xtreme) brand is new to DST and will feature an array of vehicles designed entirely by Art Asylum.
Art Asylum did explore vehicle play a few years ago with its Batman line that featured the Batwing, but the addition of more cars/tanks/trucks/suvs/jest/motorcyles is welcome news.
You’ve quietly been collecting the Art Asylum Ghostbuster Minimates, but have been at a loss as to how to play/display the toys in a way that pays homage to the popular 25 year-old movie franchise. Thanks to Millionaire Playboy, you now have the solution in the form of paper craft backgrounds. Each set can be downloaded in PDF format, printed out, and folded so you can relive your favorite scenes from the movie.
Cool!

Yes, it’s true – Art Asylum has put its own spin on Marvel’s Secret Wars, by unveiling a Toys “R” Us exclusive Minimate set that arrives in November. Take the jump for the first four figures to be released, plus a closer look at that very cool promo poster.

Those who plan on getting the Ghostbusters video game might want to upgrade to the Slimer Edition, that features among other things, a set of Ghostbusters Minimates.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game, based on the smash hit motion picture franchise and featuring a completely new story, is coming to six game systems in 2009. Coinciding with the 25th anniversary celebration of the film’s original theatrical release, the game reunites original cast members to recapture the unique blend of humour and fright that established Ghostbusters as a pop culture sensation. Remember, don’t cross the streams. It could end all life as we know it!
Instead of running down to the local GameStop, the Slimer Edition is an Amazon exclusive. I really don’t have an interest in paying $110 for a video game, but those cool-ass Ghostbusters Minimates just might have me jump.

Diamond Select Toys will bring Frank Miller’s interpretation of Will Eisner’s The Spirit characters to Minimate form in 2009. The company has announced a four character box set, and a Previews Exclusive two-pack, and Major Spoiler has the pictures and info, after the jump!
I suppose if Minimate Alfred is too busy mending Batman’s wounds, and needs to whip up a specialty cake for the Dark Knight’s birthday he could get Ace of Cakes founder Chef Duff Goldman to help out…if only there were a Minimate for that…

Exclusively available through Charm City Cakes, this limited Minimate includes a wide array of cake-making accessories including two of the shop’s signature cakes, a drill-powered mixer, a chainsaw, wooden spoon, spatula, guitar and flame-thrower! Also included is an alternate baseball cap to recreate another Duff Goldman look!
Bwa? Okay…

Diamond Select Toys has announced the next wave of its Marvel Minimates line will be on the way soon, with all new characters, villains, and costumes.
Series 23 will contain several two-packs featuring characters taken from the past twenty years of Marvel history. Nova will be paired with Gamora, Cloak will team up with Dagger and the Spymaster will take on War Machine in this all-star lineup. The variant War Machine featuring Jim Rhodes will also be available as a limited chase figure.
With the ongoing success of the Amazing Spider-Man, it was only a matter of time before his villains got their due as Minimates! Series 24 will feature two-packs consisting of Spider-Man & Shocker, Cosmic Spider-Man & Transformation Venom, “Back in Black” Spider-Man & Kraven and the limited Tarantula variant. Additional pieces will also be included for transforming Transformation Venom into Eddie Brock and each Spider-Man into Peter Parker.
If you were/are worried that the Minimate line was getting thin to the point of being canceled, fear not, as DST has assured Major Spoilers there are going to be Minimates well into the future.
The Invaders are set to make an appearance at the San Diego Comic Con in a big way. Or rather, a small way, in the form of an exclusive set of Minimates.
Featuring the four most famous members of the all-star Invaders team, this set includes Steve Rogers as Captain America, James Buchanan Barnes as Bucky, Prince Namor as the Sub-Mariner and Jim Hammond as the original Human Torch! These legendary heroes were instrumental in the defeat of the Axis powers in WWII and will appear throughout 2008 in the aptly-titled Avengers/Invaders limited series.

I like that there are multiple costume and accessory items to configure your heroes the way you like.
Now I’m really sad I’m not going to the show this year. Oh well, there’s always eBay…

Diamond Select Toys has announced the next line of Minimate figures from Art Asylum features the original team (minus Thor) assembled for the first time.
The Avengers #1 Minimates box set contains Iron Man in his original gold armor, the winged Wasp, the diminutive Ant-Man and the Jack Kirby-style Incredible Hulk.
Diamond Select Toys has announced the next wave of Marvel Minimates will feature characters from Marvel’s Civil War.

Civil War Captain America – Sporting a battle-damaged look, Steve Rogers returns (briefly) for this Minimate version of Captain America complete with removable mask, gloves and even a shackle accessory to recreate his shocking assassination.
Civil War Iron Man – The first Iron Man Minimate to feature his upgraded Extremis armor, this version also includes additional body parts and armor to create your own “un-armored” Tony Stark!
Civil War Spider-Man – While it may not have lasted for long (not counting those new-fangled Scarlet Spiders), Spider-Man’s latest look is captured in two-inch scale for the first time, along with a removable mask and alternate Peter Parker mode!
Civil War Nitro – The mutant that started it all, now you can bring home the villainous Nitro to reenact all your favorite Civil War moments. Just try to keep the explosions to a minimum, okay?
These are New York Comic Con EXCLUSIVES, so best get your tickets for the show, that runs from April 18-20 in NYC.

If you’ve been collecting Minimates for a while, you more than likely already have an Iron Man figure or two (or three or four in my case). Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum are releasing a new set based on the upcoming Iron Man movie.
The core assortment of Iron Man Movie Minimates will feature all-new armor designs as well as supporting characters and villains from the big-screen blockbuster. Mark III Iron Man & Pepper Potts, Iron Monger & Tony Stark and Mark I Iron Man & Jim Rhodes will make up this wave along with a limited Mark I Iron Man & Mark II Iron Man variant two-pack.
In addition to the regular moving parts, this collection will feature plenty of removable armor so you can recreate your favorite scene from movie – or lose amongst your ever growing collection of crap collectibles.
