Michael Turner Passes at Age 37

Hello all,

Unfortunately it’s with great sadness that I must inform everyone that Michael Turner tragically passed away last night, June 27th at approximately 10:42 pm in Santa Monica, Ca. Turner had been dealing with recent health complications arisen in the past few weeks. More details concerning Turner’s passing, and services, will be given shortly.

Anyone wishing to send their condolences to Michael Turner’s family is encouraged to send to:

Mercenaries Jump into Comics

Dynamite Entertainment has done it again by obtaining another hot property. Teaming up with Pandemic Studios, Dynamite Entertainment will be creating comic books based on the Mercenaries video games. The series will be written by Brian Reed, with interior art by Edgar Salazar, and covers by Michael Turner.

In a prepared statement Dynamite’s Nick Barrucci said, “Writer Brian Reed is blowing comics fans away with his work on New Avengers: Illuminati, Ms. Marvel and Red Sonja, so you can expect more of the same incredible action-packed storylines and intrigue from him on Mercenaries.”

There will be some cross promotion between the two industries as Pandemic will be hyping the 800 Comic Shop Locater Service, while Dynamite will pimp the upcoming Mercenaries 2: World in Flames video game.
