UPDATE:  Looking at the poll right now, it doesn’t look like the results are going to turn out like the hidden Easter Egg found in today’s release of Star Trek on DVD. (HINT: Click the image for the full view)

Things return to normal this week, as the Major Spoilers Crew takes a look at the latest installment of Matthew Loux’s Salt Water Taffy series.

Brothers Jack and Benny Putnam are being dragged against their will on a boring, summer-long vacation with their family in Chowder Bay. But what promises to be a very bleak summer quickly becomes a series of exciting adventures in one of the most mysterious places on earth!

This third volume has the boys investigating a 19th century murder, a famed elixir, and an unusual ghost. As with everything else in Chowder Bay, not everything is as it appears.

I had the meat-bag do extensive testing this evening, and it looks like Major Spoilers will indeed be doing a live show this week.  The hosts have the regular line up of news and reviews, plus plenty of time for the lines to be opened for you to call and chat live with the three comic geeks, in the Anything Goes segment.

The show will be streaming live on UStream, beginning at 8:3o PM CST on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 (11/10/09).  You’ll be able to contact us via Skype or our call in number 785 727 1939.  If you don’t want to head over to UStream, we’ll also have the feed on the front page of the site.

Join us, won’t you?

For those anxiously awaiting the announcement of what we’ll be discussing on the next Major Spoilers Podcast, we join you in the confusion.  It is episode #150, and as it is such a special number, we thought we would do something special, but we have a few things to still work out.  The show might be a live event, complete with listener’s calling in, or it might end up being a regular show where we talk about Salt Water Taffy volume 3.  We’ll know more tomorrow as we approach record time.  We’ll post it here first so everyone can adjust their schedules if needed.

Interview Caleb Monroe

This issue: Caleb Monroe, the script writer behind The Remnant and Hunter’s Fortune by Boom! Studios, stops by for a visit to talk writing, collaboration, and his time in the business.

Super Future Friends

In this issue: Doctor Ten heads for America, but will he have his TARDIS? Doctor Horrible heads for the hills, but is it really Doogie Howser? Doctor Regulus tries to kill the Legion, but they don’t die… THEY MULTIPLY! Plus: Rocky Marciano? Rocky Mariciano? Clark Kent was 257 years old when he fought Rocky Marciano… And: There’s women present, so Stephen and I have to clean up the house and wear pants during the show. THEN: Three kids come back in time to tell Christopher Reeve that the underwear goes INSIDE the pants, but it’s pretty clear that his resume may not be up to date. Either way, Rodrigo’s at volleyball, and Dante has finally stopped vomiting, so the world is a happier place…
