Major Spoilers reported yesterday about the launch of a brand new Iron Man series, that featured a variant cover by head honcho Joe Quesada. Today, Marvel has us that cover for you to cast your gaze upon.

While many readers may have a problem with Joe Q’s art work. I actually liked the covers he did for One More Day, and do dig on the Iron Man cover for Invincible Iron Man #1.

New Iron Man Series Launches in May

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008--by Stephen Schleicher

picon.jpg

How about that…an Iron Man movie hits the theaters, and a new comic book series hits the shelves. The Invincible Iron Man debuts on May 7 and should capitalize on those looking to jump into the Marvel U.

This brand-new ongoing series, set in current Marvel continuity, comes from the critically acclaimed superstar duo of writer Matt Fraction (Immortal Iron Fist) and Salvador Larroca (Amazing Spider-Man), who take Iron Man into bold new territory—and against an enemy with a personal grudge! Once the dust clears, Iron Man—and the Marvel Universe—won’t be the same!

Set in current continuity? Does this mean Tony Stark will still be a totalitarian ass-hole, or will the Secret Invasion give Tony a needed personality adjustment?

Iron Man to appear in Hulk flick

Monday, January 21st, 2008--by Stephen Schleicher

williamhurt.jpgGood news for those who are hoping for the House of Ideas to come through with movie continuity. According to actor William Hurt let slip he has a seen with Iron Man in the upcoming Hulk redo.

“I don’t know how it’ll work,” Hurt admitted, saying it was a thrill to appear as General Thaddeus Ross during Downey’s scene. “I know it’s weird [to work with a character from another movie], and to know it’s a device. We did something; I don’t know what that’s going to be like [to watch].”

I’m all for making sure we are on our way to the culminating Avengers movie, featuring all the title characters from the in progress films, let’s just hope actors are still available in eight years for the film, or things are going to be a little weird.

Iron Man Footage Coming Soon

Monday, August 20th, 2007--by Stephen Schleicher

jonfav.jpgOver at his MySpace page, Jon Favreau posted a message to let everyone know we’ll be seeing some of that Iron Man footage real soon.

I hear you all loud and clear. You want to see the footage that we brought to SDCC. Why not post it in HD instead of having everyone download a grainy bootleg? I agree. I am trying to get a version out to you ASAP. This is a big movie, however, and it takes time to get the proper approvals from all parties involved.

I am happy to report that both Marvel and Paramount have agreed to get a version of the footage out to you very soon. I will report the specifics when I get them. Thanks for your enthusiasm and patience.

Well hot damn. For those who got to see the footage at the San Diego Comic-Con, how was it?

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007--by Stephen Schleicher

ironmanmark1.jpg

One of the big events at the Marvel booth was the unveiling of the Iron Man Mark 1 Armour. Superhero Hype! has some great shots of the suit including some close-ups that really look good. I am really impressed at the amount of detail the creators put into this suit and can’t wait to see this behemoth in action.
